Aw Julie, you're killing me. I hope that she helps him as much as possible and I'm glad that he opened up to her. Even though they don't really know each other, it gives him someone to talk to about this. The last scene was so sad. Can't wait to see how this'll work out.

The crazy jackass...but you totally see where he's coming from. I would want the same thing. That was great, emotional scene...her sensing his need for a simple hug. Dealing with it alone for all this time..smh..oh Nickolas.... And him, standing there, in that shape, how could you say no to THAT?

I think it JUST now hit me...the stage his cancer is in..the explaination of it....just made me extremely sad.....

Now that was sad! When he was stood there admitting that no one knew, I wanted to hug him close too. How could anyone refuse that? But I'm glad he isn't alone now and has Cary to confide in.

Oh man so it's confirmed that he has cancer. It sounds like a rare one at that. I love how you keep the humor going too, him worrying about exposing his butt to the male nurse had me crackin up. Then again I can feel his pain with all those complicated procedures. It's cool how we got to read about Cary's point of view when she got eliminated and what Nick was doing when he saw that episode.
Author's Response: Thanks! I try to work in some comic relief when I can; it's a little easier to do in first person, so I like that. I enjoyed being able to go back in time and work back up to where I left off in Chapter 5, too. I wasn't sure when I started this story if it would work to switch between Cary's and Nick's POV, but I'm glad I did, instead of just sticking with hers. I think it's a lot more interesting this way. Thanks so much for the review, Erika; glad you're still liking the story!

i really love how the pieces get together and fit together! many questions are being answered and new popping up in my head!
i love YOUR nick! heīs stubborn, sweet, sometimes a diva, but not annoying, flirty and smart...
the conversation with ellen was really cool and funny, i like her.
nickīs plan seems to work. i hope cary will help him (i knew she would^^)
but still i think itīs a bad idea, that he donīt tell the guys. they love him and needed to know.
i hope nick isnīt risking his life, just because he canīt take a break...
canīt wait to read the next chapter!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i canīt say it enough, your story is so amazing, I LOVE IT!!!!! (and iīm normally not the type, which loves dramaīs, because iīm so compassionate. ;o) i always cry like a baby, if the protagonistīs goes bad )

I think he's a little more subdued in this one (yet also angrier and more stubborn) because he's sick. So they finally meet. Good. She seems like an honest person who wouldn't betray him and he could really help her. Now however I have a feeling that in time she might come to care for him and want to be his nurse more than a singer. Like I said before I am a sucker for a happy ending. Keep up the great work.

Amazing chapter! The way you write all that medical terminology just sounds so accurate and real. Poor Nick suffering those horrible side effects, but with that intense dose of chemo, it was bound to happen.
Glad Ellen was easy to win over and I can't wait for more now that it's all come together :)
