Such a sweet chapter but I teared up a bit at the end :( loving the update...you always know how to capture things perfectly...especially Nick and his thoughts. I love it.
Author's Response: Aww, thanks, Tracy! I thought this was one of the saddest chapters so far, just because it dealt with the Boys. There was so much "reality" in there with the fiction that it hit me hard. I'm glad you liked it, though... thank you!!

Author's Response: Aww, I know... I don't think he's given; I think he's just being realistic at this point. He's accepted the inevitable and is choosing to do what he wants to do with what time he has left, instead of being tortured with more treatments that probably wouldn't help much anyway. Once again, Regis and Kelly seems very appropriate for a last TV appearance. :( Will Nick be able to handle all six shows and all of that traveling? Thank God this is just a story, but a very good one. Another great update.
Author's Response: Thanks! I went back and forth over whether or not to have Nick actually travel all the way to New York for that, but when I thought about how he'd been in NYC for almost every album release, and that was their first US TV appearance, it just seemed too fitting not to. Plus, if he's going to get through six shows and all that traveling, he'd have to prove he can handle it. We'll see if he actually can. I know; this chapter was really sad to write; thank god it's only fiction. Thanks for the review, as always!

I don't know what it was about this chapter that made it very sad & beautiful at the same time. Perhaps it was because you seem to be in his head like you really know what he would think in that citation, Like I have said before absolutely brilliant. I can't wait to see if he lives long enough to see his babies.

I thought this chapter was really sad, mostly because it was about the Boys and there were so many real details in there that it made me think about something like this really happening and how horrible that would be. Just got caught up again after being absent for a couple weeks and man... those were a few tear jerking chapters there Julie! I'm still loving this story and you are doing a beautiful job. I especially loved the last part of this chapter when Nick told Cary that he loved her even if it wasn't in the way she wanted or deserved... *sobs*...

I can just imagine Carey in the pharmacy. It must be awful to see those magazines :( Then when she was trying to hide the tears from Nick, just so sad. I loved that he told her he loved her and wished they had more time. So tragic though. Great chapter Julie!

This chapter made my heart ache.....a few tears escaped, but I am at work, so I tired to hold it to a dull roar......great work....can't wait for more.

Damn. My heart is breaking right along with both of theirs, and yet I still managed a small smile at the end of this chapter.
And every time you post now, all I keep automatically thinking is, "Oh. no....does he die in this one?"

Oprah, huh? Very fitting. Poor Cary, she's right - all of this will get worse before it gets better. This is amazing, what she's taken on and gotten herself into - the medical and emotional/attachment circumstances with Nick. Not to mention her own health issues! It's almost too much to handle! Can't wait for more, as always, Julie.
Author's Response: Yeah, I was trying to decide where he'd go for his last interview, and Oprah seemed appropriate. She seems to get a lot of those types of interviews, she has a history with the Boys, and this would have been one of her last episodes of her last season this past spring, so it would have been a big one for her. As for Cary... very true, on all accounts. She's way in over her head! Thanks as always for the review!!

Awwwww I like the Oprah interview. God poor Cary, even as a fan I'd probably would bawl at hearing that song knowing one of my idols was dying. I also love Nick's honesty at the end. It shows that he's finally admitting to it, and being honest with his feelings. Very glad you got the SPP working for you ZDR!
