Oh the poor thing. I would be a wreck too. As much as she loves him I can see it effects her like that. And him admitting that he loves her was very sweet. He is honest about how he feels and that is a very good thing.What made me cry was when he said he wished they had more time to see where it takes them. Sad that she has to work & be away from him. Now for them to have babies that would be so awesome. Keep up the excellent work. I will really miss this. Like I said you are one of the best out there.

Nick is so brave in this story, I really love how you have written him. I am sure its doubly hard on Cary though....losing someone she cares so much about, I can't imagine how she will get through it. Nick and Cary are such a sweet couple, I love them. Awesome chapter.
Author's Response: Thanks, Tracy! It's amazing the strength this kind of thing brings out in people. I have a friend who is going through a similar situation, and she always manages to stay upbeat and keep her sense of humor, even when she's in pain and things are looking grim. I think, at this point, Nick has accepted what's going to happen and is just trying to make the most out of the time he has left. Cary is struggling more with it, understandably... she's the one who will have to go on living without him once he's gone. Thanks again for the great review!

a normal holiday with the carter clan... how I loved it. I'm wondering now if Nick already met his niece in real life. And I was relieved when Cary told Nick the truth, I thought she was gonna hide it from Nick so he won't worry about her. And Nick was right, it'd be cool if there would be kids running around with his DNA... :)
Author's Response: Thanks! I know, I wonder if he has, too. He's been on tour most of the time since she was born, but maybe they got to visit when he was touring Canada or something. I think Cary knew better than to keep it from Nick; she would have been a hypocrite if she'd done that, after how many times she told him he should be honest with the guys about his illness. I read this a few hours ago whilst eating my breakfast, but didn't have time to leave a review as I was running late for work. I've got to tell you, I was crying into my Frosties! I don't know why as it wasn't a particularly sad chapter, but it just got to me and the tears were running down my face (good thing the kids were still in bed at the time). I loved the way Nick was and that he said it'll be his turn to take care of her. I loved that he offered and Cary didn't need to ask. I loved that he said he wanted her to have his babies. I just love this story so much!

I was cracking myself up as I wrote the end of the chapter, but before that, right there in the part you mentioned, where Nick made the offer, I probably would have gotten emotional if I hadn't been the one writing it. Oh this was a sweet chapter. Especially when Leslie told him she loved him and he held the baby. But when Cary told him what happen & he offered that made me smile/cry. SO sweet and finally they both get some much deserved happiness. Now for Cary to have twins. 1 boy & 1 girl and for Nick to live long enough to see them born. Or their first bday. What I can dream. Either way this wonderful story that I will re read many many times. Now for another update from half of my favorite zombie duo.

LMFAO at "I wanna have your babies!". I love that line. Also, I like that it was Nick who offered it up, rather than Cary asking. It's nice he actually stepped and went hey, let me do this.
