I love the analogy Nick made about running a race/marathon. And the way he was thinking of when he walked into the clinic a year prior. Julie, I love your writing and the way it makes me think and feel at I'm reading it. It never fails to pull me in and make me feel like I'm a part of the story.

Dun dun dun! Nick still sucks for taking advantage of Cary, it's like you don't love her, still, yet you're very content with having her move her life out there to be your fuckbuddy. I love how you basically show how Nick is finally getting his life back in shape before that cliff hanger. Its like...hey everything things okay...but not anymore! Oh this was nice. Finally they get some peace from the cancer. I liked their date. Very her & romantic. However he didn't say he loved her back. I think he should tell her how he feels. I do hope they end up together. Keep up the excellent work.

I think Nick isn't exactly sure how he feels... he likes Cary, but is afraid of commitment, and I think he wants to keep her around without feeling pressured to put a label on it or say those words. I guess it'll depend on how long she's willing to wait for him, whether or not his feelings grow, and what the future has in store for them both. Thanks for the review!! :)

I loved this chapter! It was so nice to see Nick do something for Cary, now that he's feeling better. The flowers and breakfast in bed were lovely, but that dress and the night out were fab, sounds like it would be a great night out. Even though it's not his thing, he did it for Cary and that was so sweet. I have a feeling it's not all going to be sweet from here though.
