I'm on board... Yay.... I think the last chapter of this story should be nick sporting that purple shirt on Ellen. I work for a nonprofit and we do walks every spring. I felt all the emotion I feel at a walk while reading these last two chapters. Can't wait for more... Thank you. Mother nature for the blizzard... It gave u time to write and me two days off to sit and read ... Which means I reread broken and reread this story too.... Sometimes reading it a second time I see things I missed... Thanks and cant wait for more.
Author's Response: Aww, thanks!! Hey, that's a good idea about the purple shirt and Ellen! He is definitely gonna go on Ellen at some point, since he promised her he would. I do Relay for Life every year, so it was nice to be able to write about it, and it was easy to make it realistic, having been there. I'm glad you liked it! Author's Response: I did indeed! ;) I'm freaking addicted to that song; it was just a matter of time LOL. I am a hopeless romantic at heart, so I kinda figured it would take this path, though I wasn't absolutely sure... I wouldn't have gone there if I didn't think it fit the characters, that they had enough chemistry for it. I like to take it slow and develop that friendship/bond first so that any romantic relationship that comes out of it is based on something real and not just sex appeal. YES!!! He kissed her....so happy! Loved the chapter and Nick thinking of everything the way he was. It was sweet of her to dedicate one to him....I'm so glad Nick is realizing he likes her! Awesome chapter!

Moving on past my love for ITO lol...That was such a sweet and simple chapter. I loved the tone you set at the very beginning, cause it carried it's way throughout, and really set the mood. And him kissing her? Well, it took him long enough lmao.
I also loved the luminary bit too, that was sweet, and definitely telling of the kind of compassionate person she is. :)

I'm glad you liked the chapter; I tried to keep it simple and sweet. :) I'm glad the characters cooperated as far as the kiss... I wasn't going to plan it out, but then I thought, "Well, if I don't plan it, it might never happen, so I better give it a shot." I knew it had to wait till after the tour cause it had to be Nick making the first move, and I didn't think he would while she was still playing nurse to him; it would have been too weird. AS IF YOU ENDED IT THERE!!!!! I am grinning in my cubicle like an idiot and if I was at home you can bet I'd be jumping around the room!! YAY! As soon as they got on the matress I was like "kiss her, kiss her, kiss her!" And he did! It was perfect! Best kiss scene I have ever read! Ok, admittedly I am a little biased because Cary is one of my favourite female characters ever, but still. LOVE IT!! ok, other things I liked in this chapter lol.. The memorial Cary put there for Nick, very sweet.. And a little morbid. I liked how Nick thought that because that's often how I feel about those kinds of things too. Also Nick talking about taking off at the beginning..hehe :) loved this chpater! Love love love!! Ok, that's enough. GREAT chapter Julie! Can't wait for the next one!

I so appreciate you guys dropping hints about how you wouldn't mind a little Nick/Cary loving, cause even though, knowing myself, I've always figured it would go that route at some point, I wasn't sure, and I am surrounded by anti-romance friends on AC, so I forget how many people actually like this stuff and would cheer, rather than cringe, at a kiss. This is the chapter I finished last night and couldn't post cause my internet was down; so frustrating, cause I couldn't wait for the reaction! LOL I don't know that it's anywhere close to the best kiss scene anyone's ever read, but thank you LOL. It was more descriptive originally, but then I remembered that this is a Nick part, and he's a guy, and guys just aren't like that, so I decided to keep it simple and save the description for the next chapter, which will be Cary. ;) Thanks so much, Steph; I'm glad you loved it!! :)
