Thanks so much for another update, I'm glad that Nick went and is having a great time. He needs to have hope that he will walk with the survivors next year. That version of "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" is my favorite, I know it from Dr. Greene's last ER episode "On The Beach". The end makes me cry every time. lol Great job as always.

Thank you!!! :) I adore that song, too, and it always makes me think of that episode of ER!! That's why I think it's such a sad song, even though the lyrics are supposed to be uplifting. I heard it at Kroger the other day while I was grocery shopping, and I was like, "Nooo, you can't play that song here; it makes me cry!" It's such a pretty song, though. I'm glad you liked the chapter - thanks yet again!!

I'm not sure how well this will work since I'm on my phone, but here goes! I really liked this chapter, it gave us a chance to see more of Nick dealing with his disease outside of the tour environment. I liked how in depth you went with the scenery and what it was like at the walk, I could picture it perfectly. I also liked how Cary held Nick's hand during, you're already aware I'm on the Cary/Nick train lol but it was a sweet moment either way and I felt it really showed the closeness and trust between them. Also, I liked the mini Broken reference when the guy with the prosthetic leg walked by. :) anyway, great chapter, Julie!! Yay for snow days!

Yay! Last two chaps were great. That was really sweet of him to go to the walk. I'm sure he missed her too :) I was wondering if he was still goin to tell everyone since he's in remission now. I'm sure the Carter clan is acting like a bunch of crazy fools! Lol. I didn't review last chap, so I wanna say how cute she was when she was on the phone with Nick.

I'm glad you liked the last couple of chapters. I write Cary a lot like how I would probably act around him in that situation, sort of nervous and awkward and really giddy over talking to him but trying not to act that way... LOL. I figure a lot of people can relate to that. Thanks again for the review!!

Cary is such a great character, she is so real. It's cute how she wanted Nick to call her and made his ringtone Evergreen. I'm glad that he finally did call her (even though we already knew he could from the end of the last chapter, but still) and that she was able to help him out a little. And it was so sweet of Nick to agree to come and perform at the walk! I'm exicted these two will be seeing each other again soon. Great chapter, Julie! Looking forward to more!

Author's Response: Thanks, Steph! I find Cary really easy to write because as far as her feelings and reactions go, I write her a lot like I think I would feel and react. Even though she's a singer and stuff, I wanted to make her more of an "every fan" than a Mary Sue, so people could relate to her. So it means a lot that you think she seems real. :) I'm excited about the next couple of chapters too; I got pretty far into 54 today, so maybe I'll be able to get another update out before the weekend. Yay!!!!!! So glad he's in remission :) Love how he thought that Kevin and Howie can just make the decision for him. Lol. And I was cracking up about Howie doing a PowerPoint with pros and cons. That's hilarious. What a great chapter! You write each character so well. I can see them reacting/thinking just how you're writing it. I'm glad he's calling Cary...can't wait to see what'll happen next! Wonder which treatment he'll decide on.

LOL I must confess, I borrowed the Howie Powerpoint thing from another story i read recently... and for the life of me, I can't remember which one; I've been reading too much. But there was some comment similar to that, about Howie and pie charts or something. Clearly it had an impact on me LOL. Thanks; this whole first person thing has been an experiment for me, since I usually write in third, so it's a huge compliment that you think their reactions and thoughts are realistic. Cary is easy because I write her similar to how I would think or react in that situation, but Nick is tough. Glad you're enjoying it!! :)
