I like your long chapters simply because I can't get enough of this story ;)
I'm glad it was from Nick's POV, I was curious to see how he was starting to feel about all of this. Although I feel like the excuses keep getting watered down, there's only so much 'I'm not feeling' well someone can take before it erupts into something not pretty lol
And I'm not sure if I've noticed this in other chapters from Nick's POV, but he seems to pay attention to the way Cary reacts to him a lot...that might be something for me to dwell on later though haha
Author's Response: Aww, thanks! :) I've been switching between the POVs every five chapters, but I think I'm going to start switching more often than that now that the story is moving along a little faster. I like alternating between their POVs, and there are certain parts that I think need to be in one POV vs. the other, but I like to get both their takes on stuff too. You're right about the excuses; it's nice that he's being at least half-honest, but the more he admits he doesn't feel well, the more they're going to catch on that something is really wrong with him. You're right about him paying attention to Cary's reaction to him, too... he seems like such a tease that way in real life, I think it would amuse him. ;) Thanks for the review!!

Author's Response: LOL She just said "the next" because they're staying in that same hotel room the next night, so she'll be sharing the bed with him again. I knew how hard this would be for Nick, but I never really considered how hard it would be for Cary. But this chapter is so sad because you sort of see how the others see Cary and it's not in a good light. If only they knew...which is what she keeps telling herself.
But I also feel like this chapter was a huge step for Nick and Cary. It sounds simple with him suggesting she take the other side of the bed, but it shows just how comfortable he is now, and not forcing himself to feel comfortable because she's his nurse. Does that makes sense? haha

Author's Response: Thanks Lily! :) I always love the points you bring up in your reviews. You're right; obviously it's hard on Nick, but it's hard on Cary too, to see someone she idolizes going through this and have to not only take care of him, but keep it a secret and not be able to talk to anyone else about it. She's so involved in it now, it's a lot of pressure on her... and it especially sucks for her now that the guys have formed the completely misguided opinion of her. And yeah, that totally makes sense about the bed thing... even though it was awkward for Cary, it does show that Nick is comfortable around her, that he doesn't just think of her as his nurse. I felt so bad for Cary, having to listen to all the things AJ said about her, and if I were in her shoes I would wanna kick Nick's ass and make him tell everyone on tour about his cancer.. I also hope that Nick can see that his brothers are looking out for him, and that they don't want him to fall back into old and bad habits..
And I just have to tell you, your research for the story is amazing, my co-workers grand son is fighting leukemia now, and when I read your story I'm nodding along, because he's going trough the same treatment and side effects as Nick.. And the way you make everything so real, is part of what makes this story so good .. :) As for sharing a bed with Carter = sleepless night for me :)
Author's Response: Thanks for the great review!! I feel bad for Cary too; she's kind of stuck between obviously wishing she could set the Boys straight, but not wanting to break her promise to Nick. He needs to do it; it's just a question of when. I think the Boys' hearts are in the right place, even though their thinking's wrong. And thank you so much for the compliment about my research; I've done a lot of it. I'm a stickler for trying to get as much right as I can, so I'm glad it is seeming realistic. I wanted to leave a review earlier but I was a little busy these last couple of days. Still love the story though and I love to see new updates hihi.
The fight between Nick and AJ wasn't very nice but yeah truth isn't really nice either. I feel sorry for Cary, she's not a golddigger.

She's not happy about it, but she's not really the type to give him a piece of her mind or set them straight if it means breaking her promise to him... at least not yet. We shall see. Yeah AJ was an asshole but I can see him being concerned. However Brian is a dickhead. He has no right to talk about Cary that way. He doesn't know her & Nick does. Plus Nick is a grown man that can make his own decisions. And I don't know id I could lay in the same bed with him like she did. I would be a bundle of nerves. Keep up the awesome work.

Author's Response: Thanks Marguerite! LOL I thought the same thing about Brian; I'm a Brian girl, but he is kind of self-righteous in this story so far. Then again, I've said the same kinds things about some of Nick's girlfriends (not Lauren, but Paris and Willa, definitely), so I can understand his and AJ's thinking, even though they're wrong. LOL I would be the same way with sharing the bed. Glad you're still enjoying it; thanks again!! :)

oh no... this was the chance to tell alex what's going on...somehow, i was really mad at him when he hasn't told him the truth, but the other hand, i understand him too... i'm sure the guys were mad at him and maybe even hurt, because he hasn't told them once ^^ but now they think, it's carys guilt and i cannot even blame them all :(
and again something, cary has to deal with... i wonder, how long she will be able to keep her promise!!!

I'm glad you can understand Nick's choices, even though you can't help but be annoyed at him for making such stupid ones LOL. And now he's got the guys blaming Cary... not good. He just keeps digging himself into a deeper and deeper hole. Eventually he's going to have to get himself out of it. I'm working on the next chapter, so hopefully I'll have that done soon. Another great chapter. It seems like the guys are aware that something is wrong, but maybe they just don't want to think it's something serious and are instead pinning it all on Cary. Boy, are they gonna feel like a-holes when the whole truth comes out and they find out she's been helping him fight this cancer, and telling him to come clean with them all along! Can't wait to keep reading. :)
Author's Response: Thanks Mel! Yeah, I think you're right... they have definitely noticed something is different with Nick, but they're blaming her instead. It's not like it would be easy to guess what's really going on, and at the same time, given Nick's relationship history, it makes sense, even though Cary doesn't seem like that type. They could be in a bit of denial themselves, too, like she thought. LOL it's going to be very interesting when the truth does come out; I still don't know how everyone is going to react... Cary's definitely right with what she's feeling and stuff, you said it perfectly. This is about just as hard on her as it is on Nick. She is right that the Boys should be questioning Nick's attitude and moods and stuff. Let's hope that this chemo cycle doesn't make Nick too sick. Another amazing update. :)

Another great chapter :) This chapter made me sort of pity Nick though...although pity is not the word I want to use nor is sympathize. It's sad that he's hiding this secret and acting like everything is okay. It's sad to see Cary struggle to act normal around her Dad and Jessica even though it's not really her secret.
But can't wait to read more. I have such a crush on Nick in this story even though he's being dumb. ;)
