Oh man i laughed when he told AJ what they were shopping for. Her face must have been priceless. Personally if you are going to get your underwear ripped getting it done by him sounds good. At least he didn't have to be hospitalized. I wonder how much longer he can hold out on that? Just think REMISSION. Keep up the excellent work. One of my very favorite stories.

You never once forget that Nick has cancer, because that's the whole premise of the story, but attitude-wise, you completely forget he does because he doesn't act like he does at all. He acts like it's just a little cold he'll get over in a few days but this chapter I feel like sort of reminded him that is could be a lot worse. Hopefully it means he'll stop being so damn stubborn and get help if he needs it even if he doesn't want it.
You don't really see really specific characters nowadays but I feel like I can read Nick like a book in this story. I can list specific attributes to him and can see how much he cherishes his relationships, enough that he'd hurt himself to keep them from hurting. Great job :)
Author's Response: Thanks Sevily! :) I totally get what you mean... I think it's part of his denial; he knows he has it, but he's so desperate to forget it and go on with his life as usual that he can pretend it's not such a big deal. It's interesting, cause in my other Nick cancer story, Broken, he was very emo and "oh woe is me" about it the whole story, so I like that this character of Nick developed totally differently and has this "eh, whatever, I'm good" kind of attitude about it most of the time. But yeah, he definitely needs those reality checks from time to time. I'm glad he seems like such a vivid character to you; there are so many different versions of Nick in fanfics, he can kinda be whoever you want him to be, so it's cool that you can pick up on specific things about this version of him. OMG what a crazy fan ^^ this scene with the rose was so embarassing... and how she licked his cheek... that was really disgusting!!!!
i love cary and the fact, that she always knows, what to do and what's the best for nick :)
but now he feels so sick and i hope that everything is okay with the results of his bloodwork...
nick's conversation with himself, and the question WHO controlls this all... and why me... i'm sure, these things you ask yourself over and over again!!!
it touched me so much, and i was able to imagine, how he felt at this moment... (you are really good in making me cry ;))
but then again you made me laugh... "You’re warm, but not that hot…”

This was a sad chapter. I love the comic relief, though... Nick always seems like such a flirt, I can imagine him saying stuff like that every chance he gets. Damn, that really sucks that he's sick now. I really hope it doesn't turn into something serious. Although it may give him time to get rest and force a little break. Loved the conversation with Nick and Brian. I love how you wrote it because I can see the conversation happening. Especially Brian's demeanor. Can't wait to read more :)
Author's Response: Thanks Sel! I know, poor Nick. Thanks! I could see it happening too, mostly cause of Nick's bad track record of choosing women who aren't good for him. I sometimes hate it when the Boys just all welcome the Mary Sue to the tour with open arms even though they don't know her yet; I think they're right to be suspicious and protective of Nick when it looks like, to them, he's throwing himself right into some kind of relationship with her by spending all his time with him. Too much, too soon - that's what Brian's thinking. I'm glad you liked that part. Thanks again!! :)

Another great update. Poor Nick being sick again. :( I hope it doesn't get too bad. The Boys' soundchecks always look so fun, I wish I could've gone to one. Amazing job.
Author's Response: Thanks!! I know, poor Nick. :( The soundchecks are awesome. They go by fast, but it's fun just to be up close and watch them goof off on stage like that. I would definitely recommend doing at least bronze VIP for a show sometime if you can; it's worth it, especially if you've never met them or been up close to the stage before. Another great chapter :) that video is awesome lol, I'd never seen it before! I liked the interaction between Brian and Nick - it seems that Nick isn't as great at hiding things as he thought he was, and Brian is perceptive, just about the wrong things. Maybe that'll change...
Author's Response: Thanks! :) LOL I like the video too. I'm using another one that's even better for Ch. 35. I liked writing that conversation between Brian and Nick; that wasn't really planned, but just kind of happened. But I do think Brian, under the circumstances, is right to be suspicious, even though he's wrong in what he's thinking. Nick has a bad track record when it comes to girls, and to them, it seems like he must be head over heels for Cary, the way he's spending so much time with her and not them. Like you said, Brian can tell something's up, just not what it is yet. Your reviews are always so insightful; I look forward to them! Thanks, Sevily! :)

It's kinda scary how you are fitting in real life events into this story...lo! I'm watching that damn video looking for a bump in his shirt collar! I remember a interview they did there where Nick said his voice was deeper than normal cuz he was a little sick.
Again, I'm loving the banter between the two. When he was hurt when he though he sounded terrible during Private Session I was crackin up! And when he was "ARE YOU SERIOUS" when she said to open up and say AH...*dead* I can totally hear him sayi this stuff in my head.

He tweeted that he was sick and it felt like he had golf balls in his throat back when this happened in real life, so I was like "Mwahaha!" and have had this down in my outline since I planned this story out LOL.
