So this story has made me want to register to the site so I could leave a review here.
As this story has progressed, I find I've been taking it everywhere with me. I think about it when I don't want to, and I keep checking the 'Most Recent' section so I can see what happens next.
Your writing is real and relatable, and this story is definitely relatable. I've dealt with someone like Nick, someone looking for their next fix and TRYING to change, but it seems hopeless. I hope for Kayla that Nick can get fixed.
Can't wait to read more :)

P.S. Are you doing a sequel to this?
Author's Response: I'm not sure about a sequel. I'd say this one is about halfway through. It's just going to be a long story, I think. I have ideas for a totally different story already being worked on. Plus I'm working on writing a non-fan-fiction novel on my own time that I'd like to finish and submit by January... lol I just don't see a sequel in this story's immediate future. But that doesn't mean it's going to close on a weird note. I already know how this all ends....

Oh man this was powerful. Made me cry a bit. I felt for the little kid singing so he could eat that, for the man that has had people leeching off of him, for the singer trying to please everyone and for the human being who just wants love from the people who matter including himself.
