Today was moving day for Kenzie.
My condo in Atlanta was now fully furnished. Baylee had gone with a motorcycle theme for his room. He told me he loved it better than his other room.

"I don't give out cupcakes for breaks," Kenzie said. Nick's eyes widened. He hopped off the truck.
"Let's get those boxes!"

''Two hours later, Kenzie's apartment was wiped clean, Nick was the proud owner of a big white box full of cupcakes, and I had the truck keys in my hand ready to go.''
-- Everyone is happy.
"They're for the baby," Nick said defensively.
I smiled. It was kind of nice to hear Nick talking more openly about the baby even if he was using his unborn child to get what he wanted.''
-- Well, it's a start...
'A hour later I pulled back up to the house with my own car.
"Hi honey, I'm home!" I called out teasingly.
"Up here!"

I winced. It figured those words would come back to bite me in the butt.''

"Absolutely. Hey did AJ send you the picture of his knee?" I asked.
We both made a face.
"Totally disgusting. He's excited about his cane though. Animal print," Howie said. We grinned.’’

He made a low strangled sound in his throat. I laughed.

"I went with her to her doctor's appointment," Nick continued. "And I fainted."
I almost snorted. "What do you mean, you fainted?"
"They did an ultrasound and once I saw that there was something really in there I...I..."

"Exactly! Girls grow up to be women. And I know what I like to do with women. And even worse, what if she's like me? She'll be a skank!"

"Well, no more puking. They usually get cravings for junk food like crazy which means you get to pig out too. And, then there's the sex," I added.
There was a pause.
"Really?"

"Well, with the baby..." Nick said slowly. "We decided we needed a place with a better layout and junk. I don't know. Lauren knew what she was looking for. I just write the checks or swipe the cards."
--- Oh a woman knows what she wants... a man too! Get over with it! FAST!
"Yeah, Lauren thought we'd have you and cupcake girl over."
"Seriously?"
Nick laughed. "Lauren just wants free cupcakes."
I laughed. "Tell her I feel loved."

I just wanna say a big old FUCK YOUUU to Leighanne. She is being so immature about the whole thing. Sure her marriage has broken down, but she knew that was the case, keeping her son away from his father is also taking it out on him.
I'd hoped after the court case she would see sense, but instead she lowered herself even further by trying to seduce him.
At least Brian's doing the right thing and putting his son before his own feelings.
I love Brian with Kenzie, happy and care free.

I think it's sad that he can't work things out with Leighann but sometimes you just can't. He wanted to before Kenzie came along. I laughed when he talked to Nick. He actually fainted. Oh lord. Author's Response: Y'know I think as far as this story is concerned, even if Kenzie didn't come into the picture until later that even if Brian would have tried to work things out with Leighanne they would have come back to the point they're at now. You really can't fake happiness no matter how much you want to try for the sake of the 'family'. And LoL -- we love to torture Nickers don't we? :) Haha.

Please let Leighanne get her "comeuppence"! I've had just about enough of her and her bitchassness. LOL at Nick. Since he's into reading books maybe someone should give him "What to Expect When You're Expecting". LMAO I soooo want to see him turn into a full-throttle expectant dad (example: telling in great detail each month what the baby looks like, Lauren's breast changes, going out at 3:00Am to get chinese food) The works! He's too funny.
