Finally all caught up! Damn...I was so disappointed to have the "next" link missing! can't wait to read another update :)
Author's Response: Yay! Thaanks Sel!! I'm glad at least someone else has read this lateest chapter. I'm having a review fail for this one for some reason lol :O)

OMG at the Spam/Howie part. That shit is hilarious!! Having lived in Hawaii for a while, I was around it a lot but wouldn't eat it. Can't. I'm with you, Howard.
Author's Response: I just bought a can of Spam yesterday. I figured I might as well try it one day. Of course I know it's just going to end up sitting uneaten in my pantry until the next nuclear holocaust. Along with the two boxes of Jello I never plan on making, ever! LOL

LOL at the magic goat milk!! This is getting more and more interesting with each chap :)

Lmao I love Nick's thoughts but I feel so bad for him. Cold water is not good when he's already ill. I had to laugh at Blurry Brian too making an appearance and AJ with the fat comments. Cut the tension nicely. Loved the update and can't wait to see what happens when they find Nick's doppleganger !
Author's Response: I found myself getting the shivers too just thinking about having to be in the cold water when you're that sick. It's alwaysnice to use AJ to cut the tension in a story. Thanks, Tracy!

This is matrix style!! Love it :) Very different and interesting!
Author's Response: Oooh, the Matrix? I haven''t heard that one before. Me likie. *drools over Keanu* Thanks Sel!! :O)

Aw poor Alan, but hopefully he'll be rescued. The talk of spam and rotting bodies in the water is not doing my already queasy stomach any good, lol! But really enjoyed this chapter and just hope they manage to swim to safety. Can't believe you're at chapter 30 either, time flies :)
Author's Response: Hehe sorry about that! hope you feel better. Drinking less might help :OP llmao Thanks for reading, Steph!

Oh my, so they got that ferry guy to help them across, but poor Alan. :( And I'm with Brian on feeling uneasy on who to trust... these guys could easily turn them in and just save and worry about themselves, but they're luckily helping them, and I hope their good nature continues! Great update Mare, can't wait for the next one! :)
Author's Response: Thanks for reading, Reb! :O)

Oh Alan! What a noble scarifice. Nothing is ever easy for our little group. But, I am glad they left that group of hopelessness.
Now, I'm anxious to see if this plan will work!
Thanks for the update, Mare.
Pammy Whammy
Author's Response: Thanks for taking the time to read, Pammy! :O)

I had to smile at when they talked about the spam tasting better when its cooked, cause that's the truth lol. I love the descriptions in this chapter, it makes everything seem more realistic. I hope nothing happens in the water and they make it across, but I am so worried about Nick and Howie. Can't wait for the next update.
Author's Response: I used the cooked Spam part because of what you and Reb both said about it. LOL Thanks for the review, Tracy! :O)

LMAO okay, I love the zombie mention. Which I'm sure you knew would be the first thing I'd point out, of course. Zombie mentions FTW! lol. And the Spam, the randomness of it made me laugh. There's gotta be a way for them to get across, hopefully anyway.
Author's Response: Yup, I knew you'd love the zombie mention lol I out it there for you! :O) You know how random I am so why not mention Spam? Woot! I just rhymed! lmao Thanks Rose!

I like the little random NyQuil mention LOL. It's the little things like that, that make the characters feel so real. :)
Author's Response: LOL gotta love Nyquil :O) Thanks, Rose!

Loved this chapter Mare! I could just imagine that shop with the rotting meat and stuff like that, it kind of grossed me out as I've just eaten, lol. Never tried Spam either and don't think I would as I'm fussy. No bridges or tunnels is a bit of a pain, no wonder those people have just given up. I wonder if they can make a raft or something to get across?
Author's Response: LOL yeah, sorry about that. I know that was gross. I kind of grossed myself out too. Funny you mentioned the raft bit. You'll see next week! :O) Thanks for reading Steph!

Sorry I am late with my review. I actually like Spam and it tastes like you described, it is good but a bit salty. The part about the George Washington Bridge creeped me out....I hope they find a way into New York cause I know you won't kill Nicky off...hopefully I am right lol. Great update as usual :)
Author's Response: Glad to know I got the taste right. It looks like it would taste salty lol Thanks Tracy! :O)

LOL!! Now, I must say, I loved the Spam and Hawaii reference you've made, represent!! I freaking LOVE Spam, but I've met a lot of mainland people that beg to differ. I've actually had a friend from the mainland tell me that Spam is poor people's food, and if you ate Spam, then you were poor. I stared at the boy and was like, "Uhh... you know you're in Hawaii, where Spam is a staple, and most of us are far from poor? Those are some fighting words!" Lol.
I guess you could say Spam is an aquired taste, but it's really not bad! Even our local McDonald's sells Spam with their breakfast platters! Besides cooking it up for breakfast and making spam musubis, I like to dice it up and add extra meat to fried rice or whatever else dishes! I especially love the Tobasco Spam! Yum, but anywho, let me end my rant about Spam, I just got excited reading about it, lmao.
Man, their situation is becoming more grim! When I read the part of AJ mistaking the swimming/floating people as fish, my mind went back on the testimonials of survivors of 9/11 and the Titanic, where it all seemed surreal and they at first believed what they saw was something else... not really bodies floating in the water, or people jumping/falling from towers. It's crazy when your mind tries to comprehend it and it can't, and I could seriously feel what Howie was feeling at that moment. Poor guy; such a grim and vivid chapter! And now Howard has fell unconscious! >__< Man, hope things start to look up! Can't wait for the next update!
Author's Response: For some reason I had a feeling you would enjoy the Spam reference lol I thought of you when I wrote it. when I went to Hawaii I almost tried it but decided against it. lol I was like, "Um, i'm in Hawaii, I can get spam anywhere!" Also glad you mentioned both 9/11 and the Titanic because those were the two things I pictured when writing that scene. I almost had Howie actually mention Titanic but I couldn't remember when it came out and didn't feel like looking it up. Thanks for reading and the review, Reb! :O)

I can just imagine the 'are we there yet' kind of thing going on, and I don't blame them for being so anxious. Poor Nick, it's not looking good but I hope AJ is wrong. It's turning out to be a lot more than the 90 minute journey they expected :(
Great chapter Mare!
Author's Response: Yes! I hate long car drives myself. I can only imagine this kind of drive. Thanks, Steph! :O)
