Dammit!! Don't you ever get tired of writing mean cliffies? lol j/k. I can't tell which time period I like reading about more, they're both so intense and because of your cliffies both side leave me wanting more. This chapter managed to kind of answer questions from the last chapter too though, so that's good.
As scary as it is not knowing what these people are going to do to Nick when they come up on him, I kind of really want that to happen just so we can know where these evil canadians are taking all of the young people and what's going on with that part of the story. Thanks for the updates Mare and I can't wait for more!

I can't imagine how hard it must have been for Howie and Nick to leave Randy and Clara and not turn back when they heard those shots. Nick and Laura - extremely sad.
But with all the things happening in this chapter, the most shocking was Howie leaving Nick. Howie left Nick?!

I don't know how I missed this chapter! Maybe because there have been so many of my favourites being updated so often. Anyway...great chapter, so the date is still the same, weird! And the thing with the kids, that's just terrible, I wonder what they do to the kids? I could never give mine up! Don seems like an asshole and I don't trust him.

LOL damn that Howie! It's so true about him being good at playing silent observer. he goes unnoticed so easily. OMG at what happened to everyone under the age of 15 and then under 21. WTF! That would've been horrible (I also would've been doomed back then at 13 haha). Love the last line and this updating streak. Keep it up!
