NICK GRINNED. lol, okay, so I'm a dork, but hooray! I'm glad that Nick isn't trying to get Alyssa to get her emotions out. In the beginning of the chapter, I loved how he was just talking to her like normal and leaving it up to her as to when she wants to talk to him. I liked when he called and had Mary give Ali the phone, too. He's making it as "normal" as possible and showing that he needs Alyssa through these actions.

As far as Alyssa goes... Eesh. I feel bad for her. It's not her fault and she needs to realize it. As far as not being able to confront her pain or Nick's pain, I just hope Nick will be able to get through to her.

When she trashed the nursery, that was rough. The fact that the hole in the wall was there, I felt, represented Nick's pain. There it was out for her to see. It's the hole, the void in their life without Noah. And Alyssa had to physically express her pain, too. It's so fitting and she needs to get it out (as scary as it can be). If she lets it out, it's so much better than her bottling it up and not sharing it with anyone. Nick is SO needed and I can't wait until he's back.

I love it, hun! And I can't wait to read more. :D You're SO on a roll and it just keeps getting better and better! Amazing job.

Wow, I really don't know what to say. I can't believe Noah is gone. It's just not fair that something like this had to happened to Ali and Nick. They don't deserve it after all they've been through. All I can hope for is that it'll only make them stronger. They need each other more than ever now.
Really sad but great chapter though! It literally brought me to tears!

AMAZING CHAPTER!!

I have a lot to tell you privately on IM about it, but I'll let you know how I feel briefly on here...

First of all, before Alyssa woke up, I felt horrible for Nick. There he was punishing himself further for losing Noah. When really, losing Noah was hard enough for him to go through. And then telling Ali... Oh boy, that was tough. How she completely shut down was scary. I hope that she'll respond to Nick. Both of them really need that. Nick needs to know that she needs him and that he can bring her out of depression by himself. And Ali needs to see Nick is vulnerable and hurting, too. They need to come to the realization that the two of them can be an island. They can survive with each other as a strong unit and, even when the pressures of the outside world interfere, they can overcome it.

Nobody deserves to go through losing a child, but the reality of it is that it does happen. Life is so precious and hopefully from losing Noah, Nick and Ali will realize that and learn from it and, in turn, grow closer. As Kellie said, they're meant to be together. Deep down, Nick knows that. Deep down, he's always known it. Even when Alyssa had her doubts in SWIB, Nick was the one to always believe in them. And I think he's finally got that back. I think he knows what his mission is and that he's ready to start working on it. He's concerned with Alyssa and the pain they're going through. He's not upset about not having sex. He's not upset about sex dreams about another woman. He's not upset about the bad relationship he has with his mother. Finally, all of his thoughts surround Ali and that's the way it was in AIL and SWIB. It used to just be the two of them. When they were friends, they were there for each other so much more. They didn't care about the world around them. If either one of them was upset, they'd work it out together. That's what made them love each other so deeply. Now, they're both upset. They're both going to need to lean on one another for support through this difficult time. This chapter, as dark as it was in parts, offered so much hope for the future of Nick and Ali. I think that, if they overcome this, they can not only get back the relationship they had before Noah, but they can add in the bonus of the amazing friendship they once had. They'll truly be soul mates and have an amazing all-encompassing relationship that they both deserve and crave so greatly. They both want a family, too, but some people aren't blessed with exactly what they want. I'm sure there is a plan for them and if they are ready to have children someday, they will be blessed with children. Sorry to get all spiritual on you here, but this is totally bringing it out of me.

Also, Biblical Noah was in this world because the world was going to flood and he had to save two of each animal. Baby Noah came because Nick and Ali's world had been so flooded with stress and drama, but I hope that Noah didn't die in vain and that he came and went to indeed save two.

Wow, what a heartwrenching chapter. I'm glad it made it to the page though, it was great.

Another wonderful chapter Teri....you had me tearing up in this chapter I hope Ali is going to be ok after she gets out of the hospital and I hope Nick doesnt decide to do anything stupid.
