OMG!!! so many hearts broken... Nick married (shocker)... I feel so bad for Alyssa, having to see Nick for the first time in a while and of all places at his wedding...WOW... I'm glad Nick is happy but they so need to end up together, LOL... can't wait to see what you have in store for us, update soon...

Yea Alyssa is really a lot more messed up about Nick then you prolly realize as you'll see in the next chapter, but she's definitely learning a lot and it'll help her become an entirely different person as you'll see as the story goes on.
I know Nick being married is such a different plot twist, but come on... Do you think I'd make this easy for the two of them? lol

I began reading Under My Skin maybe like a month ago, and it was a great story! So different from everything else, no bottled happily ever after either.
I'm so happy about the sequel, yeah the prologue was a bit long, maybe could have been a couple chapters, but it was GOOD!!! I can't wait to see how this story will unfold!
And I have to say, I especially loved the scene when Nick zones out in his own wedding!! That was hillarious!! Sadly -or maybe amusingly - enough, I think real life Nick would actually do something like that LOL

Thank you! I was really skeptical about ending it on such a negative note, but I'm glad that you enjoyed it. As much as everyone loves happy endings things don't always work out that way. (But there are such things as sequels lol)
The prologue I actually considered posting as its own individual short story to bridge UMS and ALTOS together, but the more I thought about it the more I decided it really set the tone for the beginning of the story. Hopefully it'll make more sense as the story develops.
I'm so glad that SOMEONE commented on the Nick zoning out part! I thought that was a nice touch if I do say so myself lol And yes I could totally see him doing that too in real life LOl Thanks for your comments!

I know you really can't like tell me without giving up the whole idea for the story but I'm just dieing to know if the picture to this story of the girl pregent is Alyssa and if it is I hope it's by Nick and not the other dude because that would be so good if it was Nick's. Like they slept together and he was still married and Alyssa turned up pregent god that would be a killer story. But I'm pretty sure whatever ideas you already have in mind will be just as great because you're a really great writer and I enjoy your stories. Hope to see an update real soon!!!
Author's Response: Yes, to answer your question about the banner the pregnant girl IS Alyssa. (The other girl pictured is supposed to be Shayla) Who's the baby's daddy is another question that I can't quite answer yet, but you'll find out the answer to that one soon enough *winks*

I'm in tears literally from this. I just I can barely take reading somewhere where two people aren't together who should be together. I just got caught up with UMS and now I'm so happy to see a sequel.
I will tell you that I'm not giving up though. I'm going to stick through the tears because lord knows that there will be probably a lot more than I will shed. This prologue was incredible though. It was very emotions and especially for me.
Ah, I'm still holding out for Alyssa and Nick so, so much. Something just seems fishy to me about Shayla even though everyone tried to make her out to be this perfect, nice little angel. Maybe it's just me though, who is overanalyzing the situation.
Please write more as soon as possible, Mel. I really want to know what's going to happen. :]

I thought that you had given up on it snce you're usually so good with reviews and I'm glad that you stuck with it. I've definitely missed your detailed thoughtful reviews! I know its very frustrating to have them not be together and it'll continue to be a little frustrating the next few chapters, but I can guartntee you the pay off will be great. Thanks for not giving up on characters or the story!

Author's Response: Yea well now that Nick's changed his life arond, Izzy has no reason to stick her nose up at him. (Outside of the fact he hurt Alyssa, but she has to stay neutral since she's friends with both of them.) Don't worry... Things will be looking up for Alyssa in the next chapter.

I liked the start of the story, but I kind of sad that Nick got married and not with Alyssa. I hope there's going to be more later on about Alyssa and Nick together. I kind of can see something happen but I don't know just yet lol. Can't wait for another update soon.
Author's Response: Thanks hun! I know its a shocker starting off the story with Nick being married to someone other than Alyssa, but it needs to be that way for now. It's only the beginning though so a lot can happen, so please don't let this discourage you. The first few chapters unfortunately as with many stories just sort of set up the situations. By chapter three we really should start to see some more action.

It was definitely a tough situation to write and as hard as it was for Alyssa to be there I think in the end it was just something she needed to do for closure just like Nick got his closure in visiting her condo. I'm going to try to update again soon.
