Author's Response: Aww thanks Leigh-Anna. I think that the story has been going on for so long now and there's so much history between them it's hard not to get you guys to believe that there is a lot of passion between them lol. I mean after all they've been through! I almost fogot to put the "I love you" part in there because I almost felt like it didn't really need to be said cuz I thought it was obvious. Don't be sad though the next one should be good. Less drama than this one, but still drama.

Bravo Mel!! : ) I loved this ending...after all the drama and crap they've been through - they stayed together!! Yay! I was getting a little nervous about that through the "depressed alyssa" chapters...so I'm glad it ended up how it did!! Your writing is like no other that I can find...and I'm so glad you'll be doing a sequel!!
Author's Response: Yea I know that there were definitely quite a few readers who were losing hope during the last few chapters themselves. I didn't think it would be fair to put them through so much hell and NOT let them have a happy ending. I think it was appropriate and a good way to set them up for the next story because they will definitely need each other. Thank you SOOO much for your reviews and your compliments!

Aw Mel, you're so sweet! I have to say again congrats on finishing this up :) I should definitely try to get on AIM more often so we can chat it up again. *hugs* Good luck with your job hunt as well, I'll be in the same boat as you in a few short weeks when I graduate.

ROFL aww I heart you! And yeah I've been here for quite a long time. Which is insane. This past year was insane for us. But we worked it out thank god. Could you imagine if it hadn't? We'd both be hopelessly stuck and I probably wouldn't have met Darby either. I'm excited for the sequel and I am formulating ideas for that banner (it takes a long ass time for me to do LMAO you know that!) but I think it'll be awesome. It's weird as hell to think I've done ALL, and I mean ALL of your banners. Craziness! I'm so excited that ALTOS is finally done. And now the real fun can begin. The sex scenes have gotten pretty awesome lately! And yeah I'm glad you never packed it in and listened to the people who tried to bring you down or even some who did it because they viewed your talent as a threat to themselves. I am glad I could be there to smack you upside the head when you started getting down on yourself. I'm so very proud of the writer you've become and I'm glad I could witness this evolution on a very personal level with being your beta. *HUGS* awe chica! You are an amazing writer! I can't believe people would put your writing down! If I could write half as well as you can, I'd be very pleased. Heck, as it is I'm struggling to finish my little story Angel's Heart....maybe I do need a beta reader...*scratches head* Oh well, anyway.....LOVE the ending, can't wait for the next installment, and just read the first 3 chapters of WMYD....I don't remember if I reviewed it though. First...YAY! You finished!!! I know that these last few chapters were tough for you to get out but you came through, maintaining the same caliber of writing through it all. You have done an exceptional job with this story and I am so proud of you! I can't wait to feel the same since of accomplishment.

Yes you know VERY well how hard they were cuz you were the one I bitched to about them LOl. I'm kind of glad it's over though. And you will get there too with Casual.
Lol Ok maybe the sex scene wasn't SOOO bad.... I haven't actually reread it myself I'm just not a fan of the super intense emotional "love" scenes. I guess it definitely could've been cheesier and the prequel is alreay up my darling. What Makes You Different... I posted the first 3 chapters.

awwww.. i'd say i can't believe it's over but obviously it's definitely not. Hopefully there won't be TOO much drama in the next story lol or at least the type of drama where nick and alyssa split up again. I'm excited to see them take on the world, together!

Author's Response: Well that's kind of the premise of the next story actually. The two of them facing whatever the world throws at them united. So yea they'll be drama and I can't promise you that they will NEVER fight cuz that's unrealistic, but nothing devestating. Thanks so much for sticking with it!

Awww what a sweet ending!! I loved it, and I loved how you brought back the whole concept of new beginnings for them with Alyssa recreating the first night in the Condo. I'm glad that Alyssa finally was able to work out her feelings and that she and Nick can be together. I have the feeling they're definitely going to need each other in the upcoming sequel. Oh, and I loved the song you chose for the end! I had in playing on YouTube in the background while read this and you're right, it totally fits Nick and Ayassa.
But yeah..great job with this story Mel! I bet it feels good to finally have it finished, eh? I'm definitely looking forward to the sequel, and I'll have to check out the prequel that you're writing as well :)

Thanks Steph! I thought that would be appropriate to bring it full circle by recreating their first night at the condo. They definitely are going to rely pretty heavily on each other throughout the next story. I'm glad you agreed with the song choice! My best friend has a pretty scary girl crush on Mandy Moore, so we were in the car once and that song came on and I was like OMG I love this! It definitely fit Alyssa perfectly.
It does feel nice to have it finished though. And yes, PLEASE check out the prequel. I'm excited about that too. I've been watching a lot of youtube concert videos from like 2001 as research and Nick in leather pants = pure sex LOl :P

This story has embarrassingly been a big part of my life since I discovered your series. I found myself thinking about it all thorughout the day and sometimes checking multiple times a day for an update.
You have ended this installment perfectly. You couldn't have put it into better words.
I can't wait for their new start to play out before our eyes!
Living together once again....it's gonna be interesting that is for sure!
