I really like this new alyssa she's great, and I think with what you have planned I think you can be a safe bet that she's gonna be more open to things and hehe, I sorta like both Sean and Shayla they seem like good people.

Ah, I loved it! I really like how you're starting back with some history. I know you mentioned it's not incredibly interesting, but at the same time, it's information we really need to know - so, job well done on making the "boring stuff" entertaining! lol.
I have respect for Sean, I just don't think him and Alyssa are meant to be together. I don't even know why. He just doesn't seem her type. Maybe that's because Nick and Sean are like, complete opposites - at least, that's the way I'm seeing it right now.
I'm not sure how I feel about Shayla. You're doing a great job at making these characters likeable. It would be hard for me to do that, considering I'd want Alyssa and Nick together. So, I commend you on that, as well.
Overall [sorry this was so long, lol] I think you're doing an amazing job. I don't "latch" on to stories easily, but I'm really hooked on this one. Can't wait to read more!

Thanks Sarah! Backstory really sucks as a writer especially when you have SOOO many good ideas planned, but it REALLY is necesary for the action to have meaning, so I'm glad that you appreciate it. Thankfully enough we move on to some action next chapter!
Sean and Nick are opposites which I think makes it so interesting. I am trying to write both him and Shayla has unbiased as possibe especially at this point of the story. There's no reason not to like either of them (so far at least) outside of the fact that they're keeping Alyssa and Nick apart.

That's really interesting, how Nick and Alyssa seem to be at the opposite ends of the spectrum! Alyssa nose-dived into wanting to have children and Nick nearly fainted at the very idea! Very good, very good indeed! I wonder just how much Shayla wants to have kids and how it might affect her marriage to Nick if Nick never wants kids....

Author's Response: Thanks Nina! I really wanted to have Alyssa and Nick with completely different reactions when confronted with the same situation. It'll make a little more sense as the story progresses, but the baby issue between Nick and Shayla will definitely come up again

Author's Response: Haha I'm glad that you don't have anything against Sean. So many readers want to immdiately write him off because he's not Nick, but so far I think I've presented him as an all around good guy. I prefer to make characters like Sean and Shayla not entirely unlikeable because it makes things a little more complicated in the end. Not to say that they might change as the story evolves... Thanks a lot Sarah!

anywho.. comments on alyssa's change.. well, i guess shes become more confident in herself, so thats good because maybe she wont be so uptight. but i kinda got the impression that she was being a little selfish. her wedding wasnt good enough, the reception wasnt good enough, the honeymoon wasnt good enough.... i get what shes saying i guess, but for me, the way i look at it is you either do it, and accept how it as is and just be happy to be married, or dont do it at all. she chose to do it, so i think it was selfish and almost immature to feel so cheated when she knew that's how it would be. So.. im kinda curious to see how her personality will confict with others' as she has more interaction. that's what i think, hope it helped. yay for new chapters!!
Author's Response: Lol Yea I know lots of weddings and I apologize for that. No more weddings for a while I promise lol. Thanks for commenting on Alyssa. I guess I did make her out to sound pretty spoiled in that last chapter *bites lip* Not the greatest since I was trying to get everyone to like her more lol. I don't think she's completely unhappy. Yea, things didn't go according to "plan" but one of the things that she will soon learn is that you can't plan everything in your life. I'm hoping that you'll see more of a change w/ her in subsequent chapters especially when she meets up with Nick again.

Wow! That was a great chapter, even though you said it's not that interesting. But like you said, it's needed to develop the character and the storyline. You still did a great job with it.
Alyssa's married! And Nick's married! And now Alyssa and the hubby are in California where Nick probably is with his missus. Hmmmm..... some people are bound to bump into each other.....
I wonder what will happen when Sean bumps into Nick, will he give him a bloody nose like Alyssa did? Now THAT would be something LOL!

Awe, so both of them are married now - Nick and Alyssa - it's just not to each other, which is wrong, haha. Hm, I don't know why, but I just feel like with Sean and Alyssa's relationship..everything isn't put forth. I just feel like Alyssa is still holding onto Nick and stuff. I think I could say the same for Nick, but you know, I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens.
Eh, everything didn't turn out like Alyssa planned. Neither the wedding nor the honeymoon. Oh, wow, they're living in California now because of Sean's job. That means closer to Nick, haha. That is if he is still in California and didn't move back to Florida. Hm, maybe they'll..happen to run into each other. And she didn't invite him to her wedding, awe. I wouldn't of been able to if I was her either. It'd be to much heartache on me.
This is really intriguing me, Mel. I'm definitely interested in finding out what is going to happen. I'm glad that I decided to stick it out even though I know it hurts to see Alyssa and Nick apart. I'm sure that things will fall into place eventually or well...hopefully. Please write more soon. :D
