Crap. Ya couldn't of had him just break his leg...it had to be a compound fracture?! Glad to see an update though, I missed this one. I was worried that ya'll had forgotten about it. lol Thanks for the update, hope there's more where that came from.
Author's Response: Well, see, in case you hadn't noticed, we kinda like gore.... =D So a compound fracture seemed the more exciting way to go LOL. Also, apparently because the skin over your tibia is so thin, it doesn't take much to make it a compound fracture with enough of an impact. Anyway, thanks!! I was glad to be able to update finally, too; sorry for leaving you hanging so long. We could never forget about this story; we've just been working on our individual projects, too.

Omg!!! WHY??!! *raises fist to the zombie gods* Poor AJ. Very detailed writing with his leg break...great job :) I really hope he's gonna be ok. And I love the description of Howie at the beginning of the chap, including his relationship with AJ. He's much more likable than before. Seems like with the others gone, he feels like he has more purpose. Hope y'all update again soon!

I enjoyed writing Howie in this chapter; he started out SO different from our Howie that it's been fun to slowly transition him into Sweet D and build that bond with AJ, since they started off so different that they couldn't stand each other. It's nice to see Howie is becoming closer to the group tho, letting himself care.
This was my favorite part tho: "he knew how to play “Sweet D,” as his college girlfriend had dubbed him, and charm the ladies. He had money and style, along with his wink and winning smile, and once women found out he wasn’t gay, they enjoyed being wined and dined by Howard Dorough." So like the Howie we all know and love! hehe..

YAY You're back!!! I had to squee when I saw this was updated....I asked for a break at work just so I could sit down and read this chapter. Damn man first Kevy Kev now AJ???? WTF LOL. I hope his leg heals cause I think Julie did the "BSB loses a leg" thing already....but anyways, so glad to see that you girls are updating this again, I have missed it like CRAZY. Can't wait to see more and I wanna know what happened to Nick Kev and Riley...Loved this update! Just don't maim any more of my favorite characters LOL

I'm here ladies! Sorry I'm just getting around to reading and reviewing...I've been so sick lately! I'm so excited to see this updated! Poor Gretchen. Seems like she's coming to terms with the fact that Shawn may not have made it. So sad...but completely realistic considering. Love the moments between her and Brian.
Can't wait to see how Kevin and the rest of that crew are doing.

Wow that chapter was worth the wait. I had read this when you posted and I guess I never reviewed, sorry. I'm glad Gretchen finally has some closure about her house, I feel so bad about how she still hopes Shawn is alive. Brian is right, there is a pretty good chance that he isn't. I really hope Nick, Riley, and Kevin are ok. Awesome update! Hope we don't have to wait so long for the next one!

I really didn't know what to expect when they arrived at Gretchen's house, I didn't think Shawn would be there, but I thought maybe zombie Shawn. God thinking with the paint and leaving messages on their travels. I think now Gretchen can move on, but she needed to see for herself.

This chapter was amazing, I'm so glad Nick went to get medication instead of just leaving Kev to die. I loved how he was singing Thriller after his mission had gone so well :)
Aw poor Riley, of course she had to show her soft side eventually. She must've been worried sick when he was gone. I just hope Kev gets better and they can set off back to the base.

What an awful dream! I'm not sure she'll find Shawn, but I understand she has to at least try. The not knowing has got to be so hard. But I really think Brian and Gretchen would make a great couple if the circumstances were different.
