Ahhh, I am so behind! Where did I go wrong? But, I'm back in the groove because I honestly can't wait to figure out what happens!
So, they meet people and yet Riley is still..off in her own world so to speak. It's obvious that her being in this group isn't going to be easy, but like it stated, they have to fight to stay alive!

I was actually scared for Brian, I just kept on thinking, "Oh no hes gonna get bite and not tell anyone" lol I laughed when he did the whoop in the ambulance haha. Also, yay for Nick hopefully he'll be okay with those meds. I love Nick you know ;)

Poor Jo feeling like that, but as she proved, she is a valuable part of the team! I wondered how they were going to get past those zombies once they'd been barricaded in, but good thing they were able to get out the window.
I can just imagine Nick blasting Thriller out of the ambulance and leading those zombies away from the base, lol.
Great chapter, can't wait for more!

Yippie! An update. Great chapter too, it's been a while since we've heard from Jo. You've done a great job of revealing the comlexities of each character. While Jo has become the maternal character by default and she's accepted that role somewhat that was never how she saw herself. You could imagine in her younger days maybe being somewhat like Riley. I also like that some of Brian's playfulness still comes out while he's still very much in a dark place. Oh and this chapter was very exciting, loved the action.
Author's Response: I'm late, but, yay a review! LOL. Thank you so much for the compliment, we work really hard on showing just exactly who the characters are. Cause the story is just as much about them and their own ways of coping, as it is about flesh eating zombies, you know? It comes out wordier that way, but we end up hoping that it makes for a better story. As for Jo, that's an interesting thought, her possibly being like Riley when she was younger. Thanks again for all the feedback. :)

Wow,poor, Nick =( Kevin trying to act like the over protective father....it was nice that AJ and him talked and he kinda knows Riley only took his shifts to protect him from others complaining...like Howie. Good chapter, but i feel really bad for him. Hopefully they'll let the guy breathe again.

Awe. Poor Nickers. I can see why he feels that way. And I called it back when he first met Riley that he liked her. So cute and sad. Hope nothing else bad happens to Nicky...I just want to give him a big ole squishy hug. Glad there was a bit of AJ in this chapter, love him. And I still don't like Kayleigh or Howie lol. Great update!

AJ just tells it like he sees it and I really like that about him :)
Shame Nick and Riley won't be sharing a room just yet, but maybe romance will be on the cards someday ;)
