Wow, I can see why Kevin is so freaked out about Brian. He has changed alot and it's startling. I don't blame him though, if I saw what he saw and did what he had to do then I'd doubt God too. I really like the Kevin and Brian interaction in this story! Please update soon!
Author's Response: Thanks for the review! It's interesting to write Brian this way; like you said, it's so different from how he's usually portrayed and even how he was at the beginning of the story. It's sad, but we're kind of enjoying writing bitter, emo Brian in a crisis of faith. I'm glad you liked the interaction between Brian and Kevin... It was important to us to keep them cousins, even though it's AU and the rest of the guys start out as strangers; we love that relationship. Thanks so much for reading and for your comments! :)

Awesome update...I like how Kevin observes people, and the whole comparison with Nick and his dog was neat. I do feel for Brian still, but who could blame him for the way he feels? I wouldn't want to talk about it either. Great update though.

why doesnt this site have a reply to the author thingie?? lol. i totally get what you are saying bout kayleigh and howie but that doesn't fit in with all of the characters. so far only howie and kayleigh are the weak leaks, shouldnt aj be feening for a drink and shouldnt gaby be freaking out? yeah she's brave/puts on a brave face but she's still just 13 and if zombies broke out when i was 13 id probably poop myself hahaha! not to mention the earlier trauma she experienced should also play a factor. also why hasnt anyone told riley to chill yet? in crisis the last thing people would tolerate is someone overly aggressive, like they dont wanna tolerate kayleigh being all whiny or howie being bossy. to be honest i'm surprised nick didnt tell her the moment she started ragging on him. i think you guys have a great story and i enjoy reading it but i think with so many characters often times traits and flaws are forgotten of minor characters in favor for the like more main ones. if everyone has a flaw show more of theirs instead of just kayleigh and howies. ill shut up now cuz im sure you guys want me to! haha.
Author's Response: This is just my opinion, but I feel we do show flaws with all the characters. Maybe you didn't catch it, but AJ was feening in a previous chapter. Same with Gaby (hence the mention of her nightmares. The POV does change with each chapter so not only does it take longer to show these things, we can't show them in each and every one. Like Julie addressed in your review mentioning Riley, maybe it came off wrong, but she wasn't ragging Nick, she was teasing him in a friendly way. (except when Nick couldn't get the car top down, and thats cause a zombie was on top trying to get in LOL, that'd cause anyone to be snappy) Riley's flaw is being too much of a bitch sometimes, as shown with Kayleigh. We try to show them all, but with some patience, you'll see that some may be in chapters yet to come. As always, we appreciate the feedback, and have no problem discussing the story LOL.

ooh action jackson! i'm glad that everyone is alright but it sucks nick got all cut up but least he doesnt have to worry bout turning. i dont remember reading that anyone was ever cut and then turned since the virus took 'em all out by being airborn so he should be damn happy lol. also i think gretchen is cute; she's the most relatable for me what with being freaked but still trying her best. like the every girl, not angelina jolie type action hero awesome hehe. i hope her husband is still alive!! i really enjoyed this chapter but i kinda feel like you guys are purposefully making kayleigh so rotten so that if/when she dies no one really cares. like you get the big death of someone in the group for shock value but no one, characters or readers will care. so the characters can just go on and the readers wont be mad. that aside still cant wait to see what happens next!!
Author's Response: Honestly, when it comes to the characters, we designed them realistically. Like people, they all have their flaws. All of them have flaws because they're human. Don't we all? It's not that we're trying to make her rotten, but she was spoiled growing up, as shown in the beginning of the story. For anyone put in a situation like this, after being pampered, would have issues coping. She's true to her character. Howie's the same way, because like Kayleigh, he was upper class. Kayleigh, with her flaws, does have her moments. All the characters do and will. But when we see readers get frustrated with characters, that means we're doing our job right LOL. ;-) Thanks for the feedback!

Geez quit making me think you are gonna off the blonde! I got scared for a bit there. Anyways, loved the "jon boy" joke. That made me LOL. I must say that Brian, AJ, Nick and Riley are my favorite characters. Still loving this story the best, and whenever I see its been updated I *squee* lol. They should have known that the church wouldn't protect them forever, those zombies are crafty lmao. Great updat as usual!!
