okay first time reviewer but ive been reading since the beginning, just too lazy to register haha. this story is so good! zombies = awesome and i liked the changes to like real culture and stuff that you guys made. makes it feel real but au at the same time. but wtf is up with riley? she's been so mean and bitchy, especially to nick when before they got to the base he was her only friend. ive been trying to cut her some slack since it is the end of the world lol but she's kinda horrible. but then in that other chapter she got all sweet and i was like yes! finally the real riley is coming through, the one whos letting her guard down or whatever! but then in this one she went like mega bitch! what happened to her?? i kinda get yelling at kayleigh cause shes annoying too lol but riley was outta line just going off on her over something as stupid as shooting and like not even knowing her or what she might have been through. this story is great and i like it so please unbitchify riley again! she doesn't have to be mean to be strong and independent. update soon!

We've tried to do a lot of "research" to keep it as "authentic" as we can make it, even though there's some suspension of belief required with the whole zombie thing LOL. It's interesting to hear your take on Riley... I guess to us, she's definitely the most strong, independent of the female characters, but I don't think we set out to make her a bitch (although she definitely was bitchy to Kayleigh LOL). With Nick, though, her comments are meant to be more sarcastic but good-natured teasing. They're developing the kind of friendship where they can rip on each other without taking it seriously. But sometimes that's hard to get across in writing, so maybe we need to be clearer on her tone. Thanks so much for the detailed feedback; we really appreciate it!!

Well said Riley!  Kayleigh is going to have to learn to defend herself and others.  It's not like they have a choice really!  Loving AJ :)
