Oh god, I really thought Roger was going to get that note. And then at the end, when Max rubbed his chin and licked his lips, it filled me with dread :( I just know something terrible is going to happen to someone, but have no idea who.

I do NOT like the sounds of this Roger guy. I don't trust him one bit, especially after the flashback Nick had. I'm glad Nick showed Brian that Max is not a good guy and that they were being watched. I liked the note exchange as well. Great chapter as always Mare.

LOVED this chapter!!! So clever of Nick, to find the bug and communicate with Brian through notes. And I loved him noticing the tell, too. And the ending... gah!! What choice does he have but to go with Roger? I wonder how he's gonna get out of this one or what will happen if he does go... Can't wait for the next update!!
Author's Response: I have to say i have enjoyed making Nick smart in this story. LOL I can see him having the insight to do something like that either way but maye in real life it would be more because he accidentally trips over his feet and knocks the lamp off the table lol We shall see what happens with Roger! I really liked the flashbacks in this chapter. the one at the beginning was really terrifying, I could really feel the dear of young Nick. I also liked when Nick's dad was trying to teach him how to lie, and when Kevin said that it was wasy to tell when Nick was lying because he wore it like a neon sign on his forehead, lol! I liked Nick and Brian's conversation through the notes, awww Frick and Frack! Great update, Mare! I am scared for Nick to be alone with Roger :(
