The imagery in this chapter was so creepy - the house on fire and almost split in half, the snow falling in May, the abandoned cars with mold growing on the coffee inside, and not another living creature in sight. It reminds me of "I am Legend" or something like that, only with Canadians stalking them instead of the undead. So weird... I'd react the same way as Howie at the end - what the hell is going on?! I love the way you're slowly piecing it all together, just giving snippets of information at a time to make it more mysterious, but I can't wait till all the pieces of the puzzle come together!

Wow you read a lot of this today. Thanks for taking the time to do that. I'm glad you liked all the imagery in this chapter. Writing the descriptions of how things are in this place was my favorite thing to do. I've never seen I am Legend, but I'd imagine when Thr end of the world comes its pretty much like this. There are no zombies in this one though lol well not literally. You'll see what I mean later. ;-)

Sorry it took me so long to read this. You know I love this story, but I've been busy :(. Finally, we're where everything is WTF worthy and we can slowly learn just what the heck is going on. Somewhat anyway LOL.
Poor Nick, having seen that...you always make me say Poor Nick, I swear lmao. I love how they just crash into this apocalyptic world without a clue of what's going on.
“Maybe it’s some kind of psychic dream we’re all sharing.” Yeah, that does sound like AJ logic.

Scary! Reading about the cars being left on the road...I kept picturing the scene from the movie "The Stand." I'm glad they didn't find a body in any of the cars.
