LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!! OMG, I'm DYING! Pretty sure my upstairs neighbors can hear me cackling and are wondering what's so funny! This was my favorite one yet. Hilarious! At the beginning, I was wondering if this was going to be the AJ killing hookers story, and then I was scratching my head a little over Howie in the roller skates, but once it got to Brian with his head all foamy and AJ tweeting about that and taking a picture - OF HIMSELF - I got where you were going with it. Genius! And so hysterical! The best part was the video bomb: "*Nick strips off shirt out of camera shot as all the boys whoop and holler “take it off!”* LMAO thanks! I had to pay homage to all the totally random and unhelpful bombs and pictures he sends our way on a daily basis. Wouldn't it be nice to know some of those things 'might' be going on when he's doing them? I don't think the AJ killing hookers story would fit in this one although who knows, I guess we'll see how the rest of their time together goes! Glad I made you laugh!

I know you said this wasn't your favorite, but I really liked this one, and not just because it was Brian's. It didn't have as much humor as the others, but it was interesting. I liked your take on their process for writing and choosing songs. I have no concept of how that really works; I would love to know. Oh to be a fly on the wall! Hopefully this documentary thing is really happening! You always say you have a hard time channeling Brian, but I think you nailed him, from him being a homebody and wanting to be with his family to his fear of rejection and getting excited when his song was one of the first ones chosen. I also enjoyed his thoughts about Kevin, wondering if Kevin regretted his decision to leave as soon as he made it but was too proud to admit it. Personally, I don't think Kevin returning means that he regretted it, per se; I think he probably just needed the break to start his family, and the guys' schedule at the time wouldn't allow it. Maybe he left for the good of the group. I do wonder if he always kind of knew he'd be back one day, though. I'm getting off topic, so I'll just say one more time that I enjoyed this one! As thrilled as I am with Kevin's return, it's also great to have you back writing fanfic, Mare!! =D

Thanks, Julie! Like I told Step I think, i'm not sure how they do it, but being in the studio with some friends and doing some song writing when I was down in Nashville, thats' the process I saw being used so I went with it. I'm sure they write together more than apart but I wouldn't be surprised if they each had their own set of lyrics and then showed them to each other like that. I'm so glad you think I nailed Brian! Out of all of them, I am the most anxious writing as him because I feel like I never do him justice for some reason. I agree about the Kevin thing. I think he really did leave because he felt he needed to but I do think he always saw himself coming back. YOu can take the boy out of Backstreet but aparently you can't take the Backstreet out of the boy! LOL Thanks for the review!

Awww this wasn't boring. It was just nice and fluffy and fuzzy feeling LOL. I could definitely see Brian being like this, and I liked the way they went about lyric choosing, that's cute :).

This one was really Brian-ish! I really liked it. I enjoyed how he was sort of annoyed by the fans and didn't understand them hanging around outside the studio. I imagine the boys do feel like that. I know I would feel like that if people waited outside my work for me all day. I liked how you really focused on how Brian is a homebody and how being in the studio is the closest thing to that with the job he has. I also loved how they would pick the lyrics from the pile and how they didn't their names on them and Brian's personal guessing game of who wrote which ones - that was cute! I could see the guys doing something like that :) I didn't think this was boring at all! Not a lot of action, but entertaining and interesting all the same. Great job as usual, Mare :) Looking forward to the AJ one!

Aw I loved when Brian got all excited that his song was picked to do first. I wonder if that's kind of how they do things? I often wonder how they would decide.
I can imagine having fans having around constantly would get on a person's nerves. I suppose that's the price of fame though.

I'm not sure how they do it but friends of mine who have gone through the process do it that way & I've sat in on writing sessions in Nashville where they did the keep pile thing. I bet the stalking fans get to be a bit much sometimes. I know it would bug me lol Thanks Steph! :-)

I loved this!It might not have been the most exciting thing you've ever written but it was dead on again!Brian seems so chill,Like nothing ever bothers him all the time,And I think you've captured that here.And like you said before they've all matured and lyrically,When it is their own stuff I know they have improved over the years,So I am sure there is alot less arguing that goes on. For Brian,It's gotta be great to have Kevin back,Because 1.They are family(I mean,After 20 years,They are all family,But Brian and Kevin are ACTUAL family)And 2.Kevin is pretty much the whole reason Brian is where he is today.It's weird I was never really that upset that Kevin left,I mean,Sure I missed him,But now that he is back,I realize that I missed them as 5,It was like they were "Incomplete"(Sorry if that was cheesy lol).Oh and I love how you threw "Backstreet's Back!Alright!" in there,I could so see Brian saying that lol!Anyway,I think this was a really cute chapter,And I can not wait for A.J.,Since he is my favorite "Boy"!Great Job!

I loved this one! Especially the Nick and Kevin role reversal, that was so funny. I liked the way you wrote it at first, where we came into the scene and it sounded like it might have been Kevin lecturing Nick for leaving his shoes out, and in the end Kevin had done it on purpose. Of course Nick would eat the sandwich, haha! Howie's little comment at the end was so sweet, about how he was looking forward to what was going to happen. These are so good so far, Mare! Keep it up!

Again,I feel like this is something close to reality for them,The other guys have pretty much been on their own for the last afew years without Kevin to be the "Big brother/Father figure" so they had to fend for themselves,And I think they figured it out pretty well,But now that Kevin is back,Especially for Howie who I feel took over Kevin's role in the group when he left,It's gotta be a little bizarre to look around and see so much change.I LOVE that Nick ate Kevin's sandwich,And Kevin totally called him on it!That was too funny,And I could so see that happening lol.And I think it was funny that he was handing out bowls of cereal to cover it up too lol.And the "Penis Mobile" thing,That just killed me lol.Great Job!Can't wait for more!
