I really enjoyed this update, especially the guys' argument over the contract proceedings. I like that you had Brian "standing alone". It brings me great joy when people aren't afraid to present him as defensive and less than perfect. I also thought that Nick's response seemed quite believable considering he was so young when all of that nonsense went down. Update soon!
Author's Response: I'm not too familiar with what actually happened outside that Brian had sued Lou before the rest of the guys and one of them didn't sue at all. I guessed that was Nick due to his age.

I really love and look forward to your flashbacks. I think the scene with all of them arguing about their contract and whether or not to settle was so believable I could actually see and hear the fight.
You do a great job of portraying Brian (Well you do a great job with all of them) but Brian is so hard to capture without making him a caricature of this overly goofy, too family oriented, into God kind of guy. You make him very real and human and I think very much like the real Brian as I see him anyway.
Great job! Looking forward to your next update. :O)
Author's Response: Brian is sooo hard! I have no idea how to depict him as goofy so I mostly just leave it out and I don't want him to come across as too bitchy but he seems like he's not into the whole brotherly love thing most of the time (nowadays anyways).

Loved Nick and Howie's bonding in this chapter. When he confessed why he wouldn't ask any of his friends if he could stay with them my heart broke. And I just want to smack Jane! Poor kid. I also thought it was great that Howie pointed out to Nick that it was just as much his fault for not keeping in touch and Nick's thoughts on that -being the baby they should have come to me, not the other way around, was very realistic. You also did a great job of making me want to stab that Pellegrino guy in the face! LOL Looking forward to another update!!
