Yay! I can see the light.
I hate that Aspen is jealous of Twig and Nick's relationship. She doesn't have to be. She just needs to communicate with her husband. Open up, cause if she doesn't tell him how she really is feeling about things, she is going to resent him for no reason. And you can't really know how someone is feeling about a situation unless you talk to them about it.
I'm glad she didn't hold back and told AJ how she was feeling, because she will feel better and plus she was surprised to know that AJ was very excited about the baby but didn't want to cause a problem if she wasn't feeling the situation.
Love this chapter. It shows that communication can be a lovely thing, when you do it openly honestly and correctly.
Great chapter Rach. Keep it coming, I'm addicted, and it really is an obsession. :0)

Author's Response: I agree with you about being jealous. Aspen and AJ are a great couple. They just forgot to communicate. This baby is going to be loved so much. I'm addicted, too. I feel so connected to these characters. Thank for your awesome review. ~R

This is such a cute chapter. I know cute is kind of a frilly girl word but I think it works.
I'm glad the Leigh is learning to stand up for herself when it comes to thinks she doesn't agree with. Especially with Ree, cause she can be quite overbearing sometimes.
I think it was a really good idea to have the girls record a song. Maybe if the parents see it and realize how serious they are about it they'll let them start back up.
I know Nick and AJ are going to love it. Can't wait until they hear it and see their reactions.
Beautiful chapter Rach. Keep it coming :0)

Author's Response: Cute is the perfect word to describe it. I think they needed to have a little bit of fun. Leigh is really growinup up. I'm proud of her. Reese is definitely more of an in your face kind of girl. AJ and Nick are going to be surprised and love the song. Thanks for reading! ~R

I wanna drop kick Jake into the middle of the next decade. He is such a jackass to Reese. And as much as I knew it's hurting her right now. I am glad that he showed her is ugly true colors. He only wanted one thing from her, and she deserves much better.
I'm glad that she felt comfortable enough with her parents to be honest with them. I think Reese is growing up somewhat, starting to realize and learn from her mistakes.
Great chapter Dot. It was well worth the wait. Keep at it :0)

Author's Response:

Thanks so much!  I know it doesn't happen often, but a few teenagers do talk to their parents about everything. My sister's daughter was one of those kids.  She had her moments and came out ok, which is why I think Reese can...if she can reign in that temper. But being a McLean, I'm not holding my breath!  LOL  THANKS!!! ~ D

I am so glad that Calleigh had this talk with her parents. And I'm glad they agreed and made her feel that she didn't have to hide her feelings because they maybe different than their own. It's teaching her that it's okay to have your own opinions and make your own decisions.
I'm so happy they finally get to hold Jasmine. It's an amazing feeling hold your child for the first time.
Love it! Rach it was perfection as usual. :0)

YES IT'S A MIRACLE!!!!
I didn't think they would ever stop fighting like three year olds, but they surprised me with how easily they can talk to each other. It is amazing what a little communication can do. I am so glad that they are back on speaking terms and not screaming at each other. It's not good for Aspen and the baby or for the kids to hear them yelling all the time. It looks like there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
Awesome job, Rach. I loved this chapter. Keep it coming. :0)

Author's Response: LOL, Finally. It was about time Aspen and AJ actually communicated. They are both soooo stubborn. Thanks! ~R

I'm glad that the girls have goals for the summer. And I think them staying with Lilly for the rest of the summer is going to do wonders for them.
They can learn a little independence, self confidence in the things they are trying to achieve, and hopefully turn over a new leaf, and a 'new you' attitude.
Can't wait to see how the rest of the summer turns out for them.
Great job Rachel. I really enjoy the complexity that you put into the characters. Keep writing. :0)

Author's Response: I agree staying with Aunt Lilly is going to be a great thing. They will have time to blossom into who they want to be. Thanks for the compliment. It means a lot to me. I always love to read your thoughts on this story. :-) ~ R

Ok so that totally didn't go they I thought it would in my head but like always Lilly was there to smooth things over.
I hope the grown ups finally realize that treating the girls like they're five years old isn't working and will only make them want to do what you don't want them to. Of course, having guidelines and limitations to follow by helps, it doesn't mean they should be sheltered from everything either.
Amazing job! I can breath now. :0)

And Lils swoops in a saves the day! I guess that's basically the big sister's job description. I swear I don't know where Red and Twig would be today if they didn't have Lilly Blue.
I'm glad the secret is out. So everyone can move on... but Reese and Calleigh are in for a whirlwind of trouble.
As usual Dot. Love. Keep it flowing :0)

Ok, so is it wrong that I'm kind of mad at Jade and Aspen? I mean I understand that Nick has a past with Lilly, but neither are giving him the benefit of the doubt.
First, Jade needs to talk to her husband instead of pushing him away when she needs him the most. Communication is key in a marriage, let alone a relationship.
Second, Aspen needs to mind her business. I know she's very protective of her sister, but it's the pot calling the kettle black. She needs to work on her own marriage, instead of making the situation worse.
Sorry but in this situation, I'm sticking with the guys. They are both treating them unfairly right now.
Great chapter Dot. Don't hate me for my review :0P

Author's Response: No it's not wrong at all to be mad at Jade and Aspen. They certainly aren't perfect. Jade is hurt and pushing Nick away probably seems like the easiest thing to do. Aspen will do anything to support her sister, even if sometimes it's not the best idea. She definitely needs to work on her marriage. ~R

I love Calleigh so much! She is such a sweet and giving girl. I knew as soon as she heard about her Mom and Jasmine that she would be ready to hop on the next plane and come home.
I understand that Nick and Jade need to time to bond with Jasmine and make sure everything is okay and order before the kids come back home to start school in the fall. It can be very rough trying to deal with a sick baby when you have other responsibilities at home.
I hope the girls keep their goal of trying to grow up a little this summer. I'm sure it will help their parents out immensely.

Author's Response: Calleigh is a sweetheart! She really cares about her family. I hope they stick with their goals. It will help them to mature over the summer. Thanks for reading and reviewing. It means a lot! ~R

I want punch Reese in the chest so bad! She is such a fucking brat. I hate how mean she is to everyone. And no matter how mean she is to them they still love her. It's what families do, but Reese really needs to realize that she shouldn't take her family for granted.
I can't believe she said that to Lilly. And I hope Reese realizes her bad choices don't just effect her self. It's going be affected her Aunt Jade and Uncle Nick's relationship, and I hope she comes clean to them.
Nice chapter Dot. :0)

Awww shit! I told you Jade was gonna find the damn DVD in the basement. I knew it! I hope she has enough faith in her husband and her marriage to know that Nick wouldn't do that to her.
I hope Jade and baby Jasmine will be ok. It's very scary when you have to do an emergency c section because of bleeding. I hope everything turns out ok for everyone.
Great update Dot :0)

Yes, she can be a bitch. IS she sure she ain't suffering depression during this pregnancy?

UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!

~Lenni~

Author's Response: Aspen can be a bitch, lol. I'm sure with all the drama that's been happening with her family and the baby; Aspen could be suffering from depression. Things have taken a toll on her. Hopefully all the drama will ease up. Thanks for reading and reviewing! ~R

I'm glad he wants the baby. That would be the biggest fight if he didn't, I was worried for them.

Author's Response: Me, too. I don't think that is a fight that would every be won. They would probably divorce over that. Thanks for reading and reviewing. ~R
