Haven't been able to catch up on this story until today, but I kept thinking about it, and wanting to get back to it, and you surely did not disappoint. You write so well, and really have made Brian's illness feel so real with your descriptions of what it is doing to him. I'm so upset to see that Leighanne seems to have cheated on Brian when he is so desperately ill. It seems inexcusable, but maybe that is how she copes when faced with the almost certain death of her husband, by acting out recklessly. Who knows(well, YOU do, since you are writing it lol)but it is sad to think she might be uncaring. Poor sweet Baylee, my heart just aches for him and for Nick, who has such love for his "brother" :(
