...I am so relieved, you wouldn't belive! I love how you managed to convey Brian's disorientation and confusion in the text, and I specifically adored the line "Brian didn’t recognize AJ" for some reason. Also glad Kevin's getting some support - hopefully AJ won't hold his decision against him too long.

You are totally stalling, and it's kind of killing me over here! Great to get Leighanne's POV; I liked all the little details (researching complications ahead of Brian's surgery, not saying goodbye, telling him not to be so reckless on stage...).

This reminds me alot of a cartoon show I used to see when I was younger, since it showed before Sailor Moon. Meeting other people in their dreams, if only that were possible.

So... I understand that Nick wants to help Brian, but what can he really do outside of the dream world? He is not a doctor, so I'm curious what he will do.

Oh my gosh this answered none of my questions but I still enjoyed it immensely! That Brian let the wall down and reached for Nick was great, but I don't know what to make of the fact that everything faded out as soon as they touched... I'm going to remain tentatively positive.

Oh my god, I kinda wish the story would continue this way. But I got a feeling his heart will start to beat again next chapter. ;) But like I said I love it either way, no matter where it goes. Both ideas got intresting aspects one could focus on. Different kind of drama and I'm sure you could write either path well..

If this were a computer game I would put my savegame here, so I could play both paths... but since it is not I will let you surprise me :)

Author's Response: soooo, you actually WANT him to die? :) We'll see if that happens...

Nooooo... Not a cliffhanger! I really need the next chapter now. *grabby hands*

Author's Response: just you wait XD

...You really scared me with that chapter title. I hope the rest of the Boys will realize that Kevin made the call he did in order to save Brian's life. I'm guessing/crossing my fingers that Leighanne will be thankful for it (?) so at least that's a start.

Aww... this of course made me think of Show Me The Meaning of Being Lonely, the video. Poor Kevin, I feel really sorry for him. It must be a terrible thing, to visit a friend who seems to be dying in hospital.

I'm so curious for the outcome. Even tho in the back of my head I think I know what it will be, I don't know the details. Curious not only for how Brians health developes, but also for how the group dynamic does.

I'll keep reading :)

Wow, this is brutal! Poor AJ! I hope he'll seek comfort from his support system and not from old habits.

And the thought just struck me that if there's a connection between Nick and Brian, how will Nick be affected if Brian dies? It depends on how deep the connection is, but from what we've seen so far... Interesting.

Oh thank you again for writing this. I really loved this chapter. It seems to me like the whole group is breaking apart, because of what happened. I like that subplot and I can understand the trauma, which that event can cause in anyone of them.

I mean one point I have forgotten to bring up: giving Brian alcohol back then only made hypothermia more likely. We learned that in biology, how alcohol is exactly the wrong thing in the cold, it makes you feel warm, but it widens your veins and makes it easier for you to freeze. ANd Brian most definitly did there.

I like the tragedy of this situation, there is nothing anyone of them can really do but exactly do wait. I still think no matter if Brian dies or not, it will be really intresting to see how this story continues from now on.

Once again I enjoy AJ, because I think you got his emotions spot on. What he is thinking only seems realistic and I like that so much.

Very well written :), please keep writing too :)

Author's Response: Yep, I learnt that in biology too :) I think they boys were just looking for a thing to relieve pain, not knowing (or remembering) that it could backfire entirely this way. also, thanks for the review!

To be honest I am not a huge fan of supernatural stuff. But despite the fact that the connection is going a bit too far for my taste, I still enjoy reading the story.

I'm still waiting for a new chapter all the time, cause it is really intrestingly written and you give all your characters lines and really paint them out.

I am kinda curious what happens with Kevin now, Nick seems to be angry with him, that would make an intresting plot point. And AJ... I wonder what he is thinking right now... so all in all, keep writing. Maybe I'll warm up to the supernatural stuff as it goes on too ;)

Author's Response: The supernatural element isnt supposed to be the main point in this particular story. I might make a sequel with that eventually though, lol. As far as this story goes, we won't see that much of the connection between them after another chapter or so, and it won't swallow the whole plot point. I wanted to stay close to the characters, without getting too far from reality.

So I finally find the time to review. And this chapter was quite impressive. I wouldn't be able to write something like that, hospital scenes in general seem difficult to me.

You did this quite well and we learn alot about those characters even tho we have never met them before. No you have me wondering if Brian will survive or not. No matter what the outcome is tho, it will be intresting to read the aftermath.

Author's Response: I must admit, it was quite a challenge for me too. But after watching a lot of ER, I decided to give it a shot ^^ I do doubt that it is entirely realistic though. I originally didnt want it to be this bad though, wanted to shrug the hypothermia off fairly easily. But after actually doing research on hypothermia, there is no way you can soak up snow for six hours and be just fine.

I love how, just when you think Nick's gotten away scot-free, bam! psychic connection to Brian! None of the Boys are going to make it through this unscathed, are they? Can't wait to see what the connection thing's all about.

Author's Response: haha, no, everyone gets their share :)

I love the random closet BSB fan in the emergency room! It takes my mind off the fact that Brian keeps coding - you're not going to kill him off, are you?! I need him to live and get a fancy prosthetic leg and spend soundchecks making lame jokes about being a cyborg!

...I'd kind of remained hopeful that Brian would get to keep his leg, but I guess that chance was pretty slim. I'm kind of sitting here shuddering at the thought of the whole situation.
