It's quite the emotional read and it makes me hope, that Brian is not really going through this pain.
I thank you alot for writing this, there are not many stories with Brian out there. I really like how you portrait his relationship with Nick too...
It's not much that is happening between them, but enough to show how strong their friendship really is.
People often don't realize, that alot of what Brian does, might simply be putting on a mask. I can't imagine that it doesn't bother him just a tiny bit...
I'm really curious for the documentary, but while I wait I'm happy to read stories like this :)

Thank you for this story.
It's so heartbreaking and painfully true. I think you've totally nailed every single thought that may have or haven't crossed Brian's mind during this period. How hard it must have been going up there and knowing that his best efforts would have sucked anyway.
And, of course, I loved the last part with Nick. I love how they have and still are so supportive of him.

Yeah, it's not the easiest thing to write, probably because after all, this doesnt seem to be in the past yet. I hope it will though. I've read so many horrible things about it. How people think he should stop singing, how he sounds like crap, how he's ruining the entire group. I hope he doesnt read things like that too.
