Poor Meg! What an unceremonious end to her career at Rolling Stone. I feel badly for her, but I think that she needs to bite the bullet and take the job in Kentucky. If she doesn't then it will be trouble for her and Brian. See, I knew that trouble was coming ...

Author's Response: I would love to say that was an unusually dramatic firing, but it's really not in that line of work. :( I appreciate your faithful reviewing! :)

Awwwww I love Kevin! I think you totally nailed his mannerisms; kinda awkward, kinda still, and totally emotional. LOVE HIM! Also, the bit with Baylee was super cute. :P

I loved all of the description in this chapter. I felt like I was actually a guest at AJ and Rochelle's wedding! I still think that everything seems just a bit too perfect ... I keep waiting for the twist ... I know it's coming. :P

I almost hated this chapter at first because there's no Brian... but then I was reminded of why Baylee is right, and Meg is amazing. I think this chapter was in fact best for showing just how far Meg's relationship with Baylee has come, as his stepmom, so it was actually best that Brian not be there when he has had to act as mediator, I presume.
But my favourite line is Kevin's: "You got us the old Brian back", and I would have to agree. :)

Author's Response: :) There is going to be more backstory to Meg's relationship with her new stepson. Keep reading. :) Thanks for your faithful reviewing!

Well, now that I've read the next chapter and am reminded that this is, after all, a wedding fic, I'm not surprised that you included a different wedding in one of the flashback scenes (or is the 'backstory' the main story and the pre-wedding scenes just the flash forward parts? But I digress....). This was a pretty romantic chapter, and it's always nice when Brian gets to spend lots of time with Meg, and always more entertaining when it's somewhere a bit public. ;)
It was a good sign that they both couldn't stop thinking about potential future commitment toward each other. And, of course, wonderful that Brian is so attached to Meg that he wants her there. Should be fun seeing what the 20th anniversary year looks like in your AU!
I feel like there's lots more story to develop, and I hope we get to see many more pre-engagement episodes.
Great work!

I like how you get right into the family dynamics in this chapter. First, Baylee... then the entire extended family! I think you conveyed nicely how awkward and difficult it was for Meg at first, and also how when she just tried to be herself it carried her through the most difficult moments. I'll be interested to see how the relationship with Baylee develops, and if there's any 'alone' time this visit for Brian and Meg. It's also great to see the parent side of Brian, and how he suddenly has to balance between the two people he cares most about. Keep up the great writing... I'm looking forward to reading more. :)

Six children?!?! I would die! I have one daughter who keeps me super busy. I couldn't even imagine having five more running around. Although, I always pictured Brian as a guy who would want to have a big family. Like, if he was able to have his way, he would have a family that would rival the Duggers ... except all of his kids would have "B" names. LOL I like how you added the bit about Kevin into this chapter; foreshadowing what we already know - that he returns to the group.

Awww everything was so perfect ... Too perfect. Haha! I know that there's gonna be some drama - it wouldn't be a good romance without drama. :p I love your descriptions. It makes me feel like I'm there in the moment with the characters without being overwhelming or taking away from the plot. Great start!

Hi, it's such a nice surprise to see this sequel! I'm really glad that, after the prologue, you've switched back to where the last story left off... otherwise I'd feel like we missed out on so much. It's really nicely written, and you do a great job of making an 'ordinary' day interesting... mainly with the great characterizations and interaction between Meg and Brian. :) I'll be very interested to see where you take us from here. Please write more soon!
