Great story, even though it's pretty sad... I love the way you write, your stories always seem so realistic.
I think Brian can be very "dark" sometimes...there can be a lot to write about that !

This was incredibly sad. Very well written. Definitely puts a lump in your throat while reading it.
I do often think all of the antics and funny boy act is a front, a distraction for us and him from the cracks here and there. Lots of people use humor as a defense mechanism, right?
I am happy that mean old Nick was just an illusion. That would've been a whole different story. Instead Brian is berating himself with Nick's voice. Hmm, I guess that is still pretty bad. But the show must go on right? Insert a sad face here!
