Yep, batshit crazy. haha. This is the part where I confess that kept reading last night after the last review I left, and I'm probably still ahead of you. It was one of those "can't sleep" nights. That being said, I'm a really fast reader, so I promise I'm not just spending ALL of my time reading this. lol. I've been thinking the whole time that this and the prequel would make a fantastic OF, so I'm glad you're going that route!

Aww well, yes now you are ahead of me! I hate those can't sleep nights, pretty much the etire summer is like that for me. I develop really weird sleeping habits because of the heat in the summer. Up at 3:30 am back to bed at 6 then up at 8 etc... although I would take it as a compliment if you did spend every waking moment of your day reading my story! lmao God, I'm glad you're thinking that too! I have PS re-written about halfway and then kind of stopped.

And if you really want to know, my "left field" theory was that maybe Patty has a little bit of "like father like daughter" in her. Oh, Stacey, I'd say yes to be surrounded by all the handsome men, too. I literally laughed all the way through the proposal. Sounds just like AJ. I don't know far into the future this story goes, but I'm just going to say that as much as Nick hates what his father and brothers do for a living, I can totally see grown up Nick going into law enforcement after all is said and done.

Oh! Nadia is Charlie's sister! Wow, didn't see that one coming. I like this Charlie character. I think I've already said that before. Haha. And I hate to see Kevin Sr. when he gets called about Nick "shoplifting." Now, he's a character I'm having a hard time liking, actually.

Well I figured one of them was going to be wounded, now to read on and figure out how badly. I have a very early, and very out in left field theory here but it's probably not even close to right- it's just where my mind goes I guess. Perhaps I'll fill you in on it a little later on. Oh! And now that you've mentioned Blue Bloods (which I've never watched), I'm now picturing Kevin Sr. as Tom Selleck.

What I love the most about this story and the last is that they are so multi-dimensional. There is so much going on in every chapter, but not in a confusing way- in a way that keeps building the story. I am so interested to see how this all turns out. I got a little excited about midway through the chapter at the prospect of a couple little romance subplots (lol) with Nick and Patty and AJ and Stacey, but then I remembered what you said about your female characters and that you have a hard time keeping them around for long. I'm very worried about Stacey, and Patty, well I was worried about her the last story... Also, perhaps the arson investigation is the tie in with AJ? And who is the man Brian is seeing at Anita's? Oh, and I like the Charlie character. I imagine he's pretty "multi-dimensional" himself. See what I'm talking about?

Thanks for saying that! While people were reading, I almost wanted them to get a sense that they were watching a TV show with different scenes all kind of segueing into one another. That's how I pictured this story, as a season of a TV series with one plot moving through until a climax at the very end. It's funny because then a few years after I finished this, Blue Bloods showed up on TV and I instantly thought "They stole my story!"
As far as little romance tie ins, I do have it in me; just never as a focal point. Let's see if I can keep them alive or not evil the entire story though, that's the challenge for me! LOL

Quick segway into the tie-in to the case in the last story! A lot happened in this chapter to set up the plot.. I don't like seeing teenage Nick being bullied :( You see, this is where I have a little bit of a hard time with AU stories. I mean, he's supposed to be followed around all the time by screaming girls, right? Though, I fear that this may have been a little more like his life had be actually been in school. I can't picture AJ as a firefighter. I think it's cool that's the profession he chose, though. Weird, because I can totally see Kevin, Howie, and Brian as cops! I'm wondering if you're going to incorporate AJ's profession into the case somehow, though. I guess we'll see!

Yeah, that would be totally weird if a band of screaming girls just started randomly following Nick around screaming in this one lol I have a feeling you are right about that though if he had stayed in regular school I think he would get bullied. I had a hard time trying to figure out what profession I wanted AJ to have. I knew another cop would be too much but I wanted him to work in civil service. I did start to buy it myself once I got comfortable with the idea so hopefully you will too. And as far as a tie in, you shall see! :O) Thanks, Emily!

Well, here I am again. I just needed to take a peek and see how this one begins. Howie's married to her? What?! Now that's out of my system, the thought of the four of them
singing Happy Birthday to their mom made me smile. I imagine it sounded awesome, of course. It makes me sad that Kevin has chosen to never marry, but the part where he says he can get a cat made me giggle.
