But, seriously, wow... That came out of left field. I never expected it to blow up like that! The seeds for that fight were there, of course, because, well, Ali wants to be independent and Nick wants her with him at all times. There's gonna be some butting heads.
Way to make us wanna read the sequel! (Yeah, apparently, I'm referring to myself as a collective "us" now.)

I loved that. Makes him so... Human. Your characters are so real and it's really obvious in this chapter. One more to read! I'm so excited. :D

All righty... So I liked the chapter. I'm glad that Nick's family accepted Alyssa. But I really don't trust Jane. I feel like she's all right with everything right now because she's like "Okay, let the kids have their fun and play house, but this is classic Nick. He's going to have his fun with Leslie's little friend and then kick her to the curb." So right now, Jane's just letting it slide... But I don't know... It might just be because I'm really cynical that I think that way. I always suspect Jane of malice.
I like the little tidbits of information we get from their inner thoughts. Like finding out about Nick's two personalities from Ali. It just helps me better understand what they've gone through together and I love it.
And damn, girl, yes that's a great present! :D

Okay, I'm citing a lot of quotes in this review. lol.
"Seriously she’s the absolute best thing that’s ever happened to me.”
Kevin smiled at him, “Better than the group?” He asked smirking.
Nick rolled his eyes, “Sorry guys but yeah she is, I’d quit the business in a heart beat if she asked. But I know she won’t, just like I won’t ask her to quit her career for me.”
Nick smiled, “She was my secret, my escape from my life as a Backstreet Boy. I can just be me around her she doesn’t expect me to be anything but myself and it’s nice.”
I feel like that conversation between Nick and the guys says it all. What I told you earlier about how Nick and Ali are in a vacuum without a care in the world from anyone else... That's it. Nick said it right there. And it's really unbelievable. :D
And my favoritest (not a word, don't care) part was: “All I have to say is ‘I think the truck is due for a tune-up’ and she’s all over me.” LOL, just cause it was really hot... I can totally picture Nick with oil on his hands and rubbing them off on a rag, then pushing her against the Escalade and then into the backseat... Daaamn.

Great chapter... I loved the video that Jamie made for Alyssa. And I loved the fact that he had Nick help him and that the video was to Nick and Ali. It just shows that he really does love and count Nick as a son. It's rough to think that he's not going to be there if/when Nick and Ali get married and have kids.
I loved when Nick was divulging all the sex details to the guys. LOL. I love stuff like that! Guy talk. I think it's sexy when a guy talks about his woman like that. Especially how Nick was. And it took him so long to open up that it shows that he really liked keeping it to himself. I think it was almost like he liked being the only one who knew certain things about her... Any sexual details and all that. It's so sweet that he's her first everything.
And threesome's coming up. :D Looking forward to that.
Another great chapter, Teri! I'm falling more and more in love with them as I read more.

Okay, so Alyssa's soliloquy (that's what I call them in my head, lol) at the end pretty much summed up what I was just saying to in you IM. She's happy with who she is, especially when she's with Nick. She knows that not everyone is going to like her and she COULD go and get jealous of the fans, but she doesn't need to do that. Because she knows at the end of the day, Nick's coming home to her. And she's going to get to see all of his little insecurities and flaws and idiosyncrasies that his fans don't get to experience. You've really done an amazing job with character development. And not only with Nick and Ali, but with their friends and family and everyone. I can't say that any character is a "stock" character that I could immediately predict the actions of. It's a great thing to actually read a story that doesn't make me groan when I realize I've been right all along about something that's going to happen. (And this is coming from me, who KNOWS the future of these characters... So that's saying something that I'm kept so intrigued!)
This chapter was really long and I know I'm not commenting on anything specific, but I feel like it brought a lot of emotion out in the limelight. With the miscarriage, it shows that Nick and Ali are going to be able to get through a lot through communication and just mutual adoration for each other. They're not just going to break up at the first sign of tragedy. Which is WAY too common in these stories! lol. Don't people work things out in real life? I guess it just shows maturity on Ali's level and Nick's level. It makes me respect them a lot as well.
Okay, before I continue to ramble AGAIN, I'm going to stop. I'm going to try to resist reading the next chapter until I finish my paper, too. LOL. Let's see if that happens. :D Great job, dear.

I like how they talked about Nick's past unfaithfulness regarding his ex-girlfriends.
I wonder how Nick will react when he finds out about the pregnancy... Let's see if he still thinks it's "cool." lol.
