This was a beautiful story and the way that you personafied Death is quite genius. It made me think of the poem - Death be not proud, which is one of my favorite poems by the way. And the first person narrative gives you a sense of overhearing the conversation when you're walking by Nick's hospital room. The poor thing. Beautiful!

Mers! that was awesome! I love how you can just suck me into all of your stories and make me see everything as though it were happening right in front of me. There's always this sort of suspense-ish quality to your work that makes me want to scroll down the page faster...faster..faster! This could definitely be a whole story, but I like it the way it is!
