Author's Response: At first I had set out with the plan to make it all completely humor, but Nick didn't want to cooperate and he started talking about his emotions and all that stuff and finally I was like whatever. You know how it is...characters that don't want to cooperate. Haha. I was also worried how it turned out because I wrote it in 1st POV and I've never done that before, so I was a little iffy on the flow. I guess by the response I have gotten so far that I did good with it. And lastly, I am a detail junkie. Sometimes I think more so then I need to be! Your first point of view was good. It was like Nick was just having a conversation with the reader, which made it heartfelt and warm. And it was a really sweet sentiment. Captured Nick's personality perfectly. Or at least I think you did. I'm still sketchy on flashbacks, but I always have been, so I don't critique that. Wonderful piece.
Author's Response: Well, either I captured Nick's personality perfectly or Nick and I share the same personality, because I realized while I was writing that it was me I was hearing. I'm witty like Nick is in the story, I share the same sarcasm and way of thinking. I guess that just means when I write, the characters reflect me. Thanks for the review Ana!
