Eww Jake is being a real jerkwad! Of course Connor comes before him! If Jake feels this way about Sara giving Connor more attention then he most definitely is NOT read to get married and have kids because he sounds like he's way too selfish. She's better off without him.
Something tells me though that Connor is not really sick. Maybe just laying it on a little thick as an excuse to get Mommy and Daddy together in the same room again. *winks*

I loved it. I have a feeling Jake doesn't want Nick to have anything to do with his son. I think he's wanting to marry her so that if she dies that he'd get custody of Connor and he'd get whatever she had.

thats not fair ... she is a mean women she always says bad stuff about Nick but we don't Nick's point of view even Jake have more character than Nick
Author's Response: Hm, no, she's not really mean. You'll see as the story develops. In the first chapter/prologue you should have been able to see how Nick was quite the mean one. Nick's character hasn't done much developing just yet. It will though, I promise. You just have to be patient and keep reading.
