Aw this was sad. I'm glad that they were able to open up and be honest with each other. Poor guys for feeling left out =(. I love the part about Nick not understanding the difference between band time and family time. Considering, his family time...Can't wait for an update!

Yay!! A new Mare story...I don't know how this one got past me, but I found it =) Very cute so far. I love how you write Nick and Kevin together. Nick acts like a little boy. I loved the whole bit about the Boy Scouts and his memory. Can't wait to read more...

Great chapter, is good to know that they are already clearing some issues up, and the part where Kev told Nick he was proud of him, it was really nice, how Nick still looks up to Kev and take to heart everything he says to him, like a little brother does in real life, you know, look up to his older brother. I didn't catch a lot of episodes of HOC, was it really that bad? I mean did he seriously had to go to therapy? I know sometimes writers use real life situations and put it on the stories, so I was just wondering about that part. Hope to read another chapter soon; Take Care!
Author's Response: HOC was pretty bad not as in bad to watch because it was stupid but hard to watch because Nick was having such a hard time. You really got to see how bad his life has been so a lot of it broke my heart. He did say he went into therapy after HOC which helped him, so I went with that. Thanks for the review Yara!

I loved the chapter, it was so funny, the part with Nick and the compass, him sticking his finger in his mouth then up to the air, I was just picturing him doing it, and the whole boys scout part, loved it. Can't wait to read the next chapter, Take Care!

Mare,
One of the things that I find so fascinating when reading Kevin/Nick focus stories is how polar opposite the two seem to be. Yet, when you look a little deeper, you see a lot of similarities. You always do a fantastic job of illustrating Kevin and Nick's similarites, in a subtle way. Bravo!
It's weird....when the rumor of Kevin leaving the group began to surface along with the "buzz" on the "HOC," I jokingly told a friend that Kevin was quitting BSB so he wouldn't be associated with the show. Afterall, he's lived through it once....why would he want to watch the train wreck. Kevin's comment in the chapter about watching some parts with one eye is how I would visualize him doing it.....actually, it's how I did it during some parts of that show.
Once again Mare, you have done a wonderful job of bringing these "characters" into the tangible people we believe we know.
Author's Response: Thanks Pammy! I am sure Kevin watched that show. I can't picture him not watching it lol and yes, when i picture him watching HOC i see him cringing with only one eye opened. I watched like that as well many times. Poor Nick.

awwwww Kevin's proud of Nick. I love those two. I can so see Nick understanding younger Kevin now that's he's dealt with Aaron's issues, especially during HOC. Good chapter :)
