Author's Response: well because he's a single parent. he wants nothing more than to protect his children from anyone who would become the wicked stepmother type so he doesn't talk about them unless he serious about someone. It's also a way to keep him from getting to close to soon

I'm talking to you on MSN right now, but I'll give you my feedback in here because reviews are awesome fun lol. First of all - the first part of this chapter made me want cake! Interesting occupation you chose for Marie, I know it's something you know a lot about so it'll be cool to see how it comes out in your writing.
Nick's daughters are just adorable! I was grinning when he was saying that they'd have pizza for dinner in the flashback. The collective "Yay!" reminds me of my sister and I hehe.
It should be interesting when these two meet. Great opening chapter Teri!
