I don't see how Amanda's mum would think Aaron was being abused from seeing a bruise on him when she's only just met the kid. What makes her think Nick would do it? Kids often get bruises from playing.

Author's Response: Amanda didn't live in florida when she was younger. She stayed with her aunt then, so that is why. Nick's father wasn't around, and his brother wasn't around either.
