AJ noticed that Katie was writing something in a notebook. He reached over and grabbed it out of her hands. He asked, “ What’s this?”


“ I’m working on these song lyrics.”


“ Can I read them?”


“ Sure, it’s not done yet.”


“ No problem.” He said as he began to read them.




I wish I could define

All the thoughts that cross my mind

They seem to big for me to choose

I don't know which ones to lose

And I've fallen down so far

“ Wow. This is really good.” He said.


“ Thanks. I was thinking about having Kevin have a look at it. See what he thinks. I thought maybe you guys could record it as a single.”


“ Yeah, that sounds like a good idea.” He said. AJ turned around and said, “ Hey, Kev. Take a look at this.”


“ What is it?” asked Kevin.


“ Song lyrics. They’re not done, but look at them anyway.” AJ said.


“ Okay. Give me a minute and I’ll give them back. I’ll have Howie, Nick, and Brian look at them too. Then I’ll let you finish them”


“ Hey, they’re not mine. Katie wrote it.” Said AJ.


AJ turned back around and looked at her. She said, “ I wrote those after the audition. After I met you.”


“ Wow. I made that much of an impact on you?” he asked.


“ Yeah. After all, you are the great, sexy Mr. Mclean.” She said in a low, sexy voice.


“ Hey, don’t do that unless you plan on finishing what you started.” He said.


“ I couldn’t resist.”


“ Yeah, sure. I know you meant it. You can’t help but fall in love with me.” He said.


“ Someday, Mclean, someday.” She said.


“ Here you go Aje. They all love the lyrics. Tell her to finish them.” Said Kevin.


“ Katie, guess what?” said AJ.


“ Yeah, I heard him. he told me to finish the lyrics. Give them to me so I can finish them.”


“ Need any help?” asked AJ.


“ Sure. Why not?” said Katie.




For the rest of the plane ride they worked on the song. They finished it right before they landed.
