Annie started crying, and Joel wrapped his arms around her and said, “Sssh, sweetie. He’ll be okay.” She only nodded, and Nick pulled me into his arms. I wrapped my arms around his chest, and looked at Benji. Nick rubbed my back, and I sniffed. “Why Nick, why.” I sobbed; looking at the guy who was like an older brother to me lay on a hospital bed, fighting for his life. Sobs racked my body as his face flushed even more, and I looked over at Annie. She was crying in Joel’s arms, her body shaking violently. “Annie.” I called, separating from Nick. She looked up, and saw the tears in my eyes. Annie rushed over to me, and we hugged fiercely.
