He hesitated slightly before pressing his finger on the litle glowing button.He couldn't reacll how many calls he hhad made obly to hear the sound of a dead line.He would be amazed is she opened the door let alone speak to him.
Fiddling with the plastic of the what which held the purple carnations he put them behind his back.
The door opened and Cheri leaned against the doorframe without a sig of emotion.The brown eyes that starred back at him were dea.
"What?" she questioned quietly.
"Can I come in?" he nearly whispered.She shrugged kicking the storm door open nearly knocking him over.
"Door's open." she turned walking back inside.Plopping on the couch she begin to flip through the channels of tv infront of her.
"What do you want?"
"I want to say I'm sorry." Howard begin,"And I want to give you these." he said offering her the purple flowers. Flipping off the tv she stood up infront of him,slapped him hard across the face and then took the flowers.
