For the first time in years I dreaded coming to my parents house. All the cars were there. Which only meant that the house was crowded and Alex was there with his fiancé.

"Aunt Soph are you just going to stand there?" Hannah took my hand and then Kevin's and walked us inside. Everyone was heading towards the dining table and greeted us on the way.

We all took our usual seats only this time I had ended up right in front of the perfect blonde. My eyes scanned her hands; I saw no ring.

It didn't take long for my dad to put me on the spot. His eyebrows were furrowed as he opened his mouth. "It's about time you come and visit us. What's gotten into you?"

My cheeks flushed and Peanut fluttered. "Nothing dad. I've been busy and tired."

"You do look tired honey." My mom added sweetly.

"Plus, she looks pudgy! You're not knocked up are ya?" this time he furrowed his brows at Kevin.

I heard Howie choke and Brian snicker. Alex wasn't doing much but siting there and probably shooting rays out of his eyes at Kevin.

Kevin nervously cleared his throat while all the guys at the table snickered. "Uh...no sir. Not that I know of."

"DAD!" I was so humiliated and freaked out. I couldn't be pudgy, although my uniform was pretty snug, but I'd been blaming it on the donut a day.

"Alright let's settle down and have dinner." My mom scowled at everyone.

Everyone obeyed and everything started to get passed around while the kids took turns talking about the week. Before we knew it the night had gone by and I realized that Brian hadn't made his announcement yet.

I turned to look at him just as he stood up from his seat. He let out a deep breath as he looked at Leighanne so lovingly. She gave his hand a squeeze and smiled.

"I know I surprised you all with the news about Angie and I I'm sorry for not being honest. Truth is I didn't know all this time either. I swear." his eyes rested on my mom and dad. "As you guys have probably heard...Angie is back to her old ways and because of her habits Hannah seems to be in danger, someone other than her mother is trying to take her. I won't let that happen and well on top of that..." he turned to look at Leighanne again. She gave him another squeeze.

"Cut to the chase man. I got things to do!" Alex blurted.

"Alright! We're moving to New York tomorrow. I know it's really short notice, but i was waiting for confirmation they just gave me the job and asked for me to be there tomorrow."

"I'm not going. I won't leave Aunt Sophia alone!" Hannah had big tears rolling down her cheeks. It broke my heart to see her so distraught.

I was mad at Brian all over again for leaving that part of his plans out of our conversations. "What the hell Brian? I asked you to help me not take..." My voice broke and I quickly got out of my chair and headed for the bathroom. I splashed water on my face and jumped when I saw Brian standing in the doorway. "What do you want?"

"That's not a way to talk to your older brother!" He tried to smile. "I didn't tell you because I know how attached you are to her. This hurts now, but knowing it beforehand would have killed you."

I felt my lip quiver as I broke into a small sob. "She's my best friend."

Brian smiled again and took me in his arms. "You have Kevin to make you company. Don't be so upset. It's not good for the baby!"

My head shot up and I looked at him startled, unable to deny what he'd just stated.

"I'm gonna kill Howie!"

"I'm offended he found out before me. He didn't tell me though. Did you forget I'm a doctor."

Nick was gone. Brian and Hannah were leaving and Alex was no longer mine. I felt so lonely already.

"Please don't be mad at me. I love you. You're my little sister and I can't leave knowing you hate me."

I swiped at the tears and smacked him on the chest. "I could never hate you. This is just a lot to take in. I'm gonna miss you and the kids. Fridays won't be the same."

"You won't get rid of us so easily. We will visit...I promise!"

We hugged once again. Then we joined everyone in the livingroom. Alex somehow kicked off the goodbyes. He was already hugging the kids and making them promise they'd behave.

After that we all ended up outside. Mom was weeping as she hugged her grandkids and her older son. I was trying to keep it together. Trying to stay strong so that Hannah wouldn't freak out on me; deep down inside I was the one freaking out. I'd be stuck alone in my apartment.

We all hugged Baylee, Lily and Leighanne then they piled into the blue SUV waiting on their dad and new addition. My dad gave Brian a tight hug, as did my mom. Howie and Alex both took their turn and he ended up in front of me.

I didn't say a word and wrapped my arms around him. He squeezed me and whispered to see a doctor soon and too hurry up and tell mom and dad. I smiled and nodded my head.

Hannah's frightened blue eyes looked up at me. She clutched her favorite teddy bear in one arm and wrapped the other around my waist.

"What if they don't like me?"

I bent down to her level. "They already love you and now it's going to be better because their your siblings and Baylee is an awesome brother. You'll be fine." we hugged tight then let go.

She reluctantly took Brian's hand and they started towards the truck. I felt Kevin put his arm around my waist for comfort.

Hannah suddenly yanked out of Brian's grip. "Aunt Soph!" She shouted and ran towards me. "I'm gonna miss you!" she cried.

The tears were flowing now and my heart was completely shattered. But I gave her my best reassuring smile and told her I'd miss her too. With that said she walked away, giving us all one last glance before getting in the car.

With a heavy heart I watched as my best friend drove away.
