Alex smiled as he slid quietly from Amber’s embrace. It was already twelve and still they hadn't left there hotel room. He didn’t mind but he couldn’t hold his craving for nicotine any longer. He slipped into his boxers and shorts as he walked into the balcony lighting a cigarette. It was a nice sunny day in San Diego and as he smoked away he couldn’t help to think about what he had done since his choice to leave his mother.

“Married,” he whispered to himself as he looked at his grandfather’s wedding band now on his left ring finger. He wasn’t regretting it he wasn’t he was happy. But now that it had been done and he could think it through more seriously he realized that he really didn’t know much about Amber. She didn’t know things about him either and now here they were on there honeymoon. He sighed heavily as he realized he had to tell her the rest of his story.

“Hey well someone finally decided to see the sun,” Alex said as he felt her wrap her arms around him resting her head on his shoulder blade.

“Mhmm,” she said. “What time is it?”

He chuckled as he looked at his watch, “Twelve thirty...” he answered he turned around to face her wrapping his hands around her waist. He kissed her softly and then cleared his throat, “We should shower maybe and then go get something to eat I need food!” he raise his eyebrows to emphasize his statement.

She giggled and nodded in agreement that’s when she yelped as Alex took her in his hands and carried her into the bathroom. “Shower it is…” he said as he began to kiss her neck.

They sat out in the deck of a deli enjoying the meal. Amber couldn’t keep her hands away from his though and they looked cute sitting as close as possible. “After this where do you want to go?” Alex finally asked his wife.

She gave him a big grin and began to blush. “I think me blushing has given it away!” she said burying her face on his shoulder.

Alex chuckled and caressed her cheek, “I like the idea very much but… I was thinking we could do an out door activity first. You some sight seeing and then later well,” he gave her a grin.

“Ok I have to go to the ladies room,” she said as she turned shades of red with her husband’s insinuation. “I’ll be right back,” she told him as slipped away and into the restaurant in search of the restroom.

Alex sighed as he debated on how to start the conversation about his inheritance and would she believe him? Would she believe that after finally using his account he sent a check with a much bigger sum that hick gasoline station in Texas to cover what he had “stolen” would this break what they had. That’s what he feared the most but he knew he had to tell her soon.

“Excuse me?”

He looked up from his plate to see a gorgeous blond bombshell standing in front of him with not a very conservative outfit. He cleared his throat and reminded himself he was married and truth be told Amber had a really nice body. “Yes,” he finally asked trying to not look too much at her.

“I sorry if you think of me rude but…” she took a seat in front of him smiling at him. “I suppose to meet my blind date here and I happen to notice your all alone.” She had apparently not seen the other plate right by his. “So I assumed you were my date.” She winked at him.

Alex cleared his throat, “I’m sorry to disappoint you miss but…” he was shut up by her hand.

“It’s Janice,” she extended her hand to him. “I like your tattoo’s there a big turn on for me.”

Alex knew he was blushing this girl was literally hitting on him and if he hadn't met Amber he would have definitely hit it… he cleared his throat again, “Oh well Janice like I was saying… I am actually here with my wife.” He flashed his hand at her with the wedding band. “I think you’ll have keep searching for your date.”

“Oh,” Janice said a smile still playing on her face. “To bad you really are a handsome man lucky girl.” She stood up and with out surprised kissed his cheek. “If you get bored with the wife,” she took out a card from her clutch and deliberately put in on his lap call me.

Amber had seen this girl all over her husband but what made her boil was her touching and he seemed to not care. She was fuming as she made to the table she glared at Alex and at the woman. “I think I need to go.” She grabbed her purse and stormed out. She could hear Alex screaming after her.

“Amber babe wait up,” Alex said as he put some cash on the table and walked out after his wife. “I need to explain this situation to you.”

“No just leave me alone,” Amber said as tears began to flow down her cheeks. She finally had made it to the beach and she felt Alex’s grip on her arm. “Just leave me alone Alex!” she yelled turning to look at him with anger.

“No,” He told her making her look at him. “This,” he said as he flashed the card Janice had given him, “I am not interested in,” he said as he tore it and let the breeze take the miniscule pieces. “I love you.” He looked at her intently and then without another word crashed his lips on hers.

Amber was to much in love with him to decline the wonderful kiss and willingly kissed him back. “Then why?” she asked as he left her mouth to kiss her jaw line.

“She,” he said in between kisses. “Came – up - to – me…” he stopped kissing her and sighed. She supposedly was looking for her blind date and thought I was it. I cleared it up as fast as I could but I guess it only attracted her more to learn that was married… Happily married to be exact.” He caressed her cheek, “I do like to see you jealous though.”

Amber gave him a punch on his arm, “I was not jealousy… I was mad at her for … for insinuating herself on you.” she told him.

“Uh, Jealousy babe.” He said as he kissed her one more time. “I love it though.”

“Ok maybe I was a little jealous but who wouldn’t be when they have a husband like you.” she told him leaning against his chest as she wrapped her arms around him. “I did overreact didn’t I?” she asked as she giggled at her own tantrum.

“Yeah just a little… but it made you look very sexy.” He whispered into her ear. “You know what?”

“Hmm,” she asked as she kissed him softly on his neck.

“Well maybe your right,” he said as he felt shivers run down his spine as she kissed him. “Let’s go back to our room,” he said as he began to pull her toward the hotel.

Amber couldn’t help but laugh, “Ok,” she said as they walked back.

*******

Amber awoke before Alex this time and as she laid in his arms she couldn’t help but wonder. What if she wasn’t what Alex was looking for? What if she was to plain and well boring for him? Maybe she should try to be more like the other girls, maybe wear more daring yet classy attire.

The truth was her father wasn’t even seeing her and she shouldn’t care either way she was starting a new life. She smiled as began to plan her escape to the shopping center close by to find her new wardrobe… she would find a way to without giving Alex a hind of her plan.

She began to laugh as she felt Alex beard rub her neck sending shivers and tickles down her spine, “Well good morning my husband,” she managed to say.

“Yeah a very good morning indeed,” he said finally stopping. “So do we have plans of see anything else today besides our hotel room and the lobby?”
