litterally scared the shit out if him? is there a log floating somewhere that we don't know about?!?! haha couldnt resist.

so i already know i dont like shayla cause shes shallow, but i almost think in a way sean is shallow too. I know he has issues wit nick cause of what he did to alyssa when they were dating, but when he found out nick was a BSB, that seemed to make the nick situation an even bigger deal, which to me is stupid. What he is, his profession.. it doesnt matter, whether he is a good guy or a bad guy or just a guy that makes mistakes, ya know. So like.. where am i going with this lol. i guess the fact that nick is a bsb bothers Sean so much more makes me dislike him a little. maybe that's just me...

So when are alyssa and nick gonna cheat? hehe

Hehe Smart ass lol I agree that Shayla really started to sound a bit shallow in that last chapter where even I was like Now wait... Lol Sean ehh I don't really think he's shallow. Yea... He freaked out about Nick being a Backstreet Boy but I think any guy would feel intimidated by that. Yea, I think its stuid but *sigh* That's men for you!

Sooo I finally read what you've written so far and I must say, I'm very dissappointed that the affair has not taken place yet lol. but i guess you have to string us along somehow. anyway, the stories good so far so keep it up!!



Author's Response: Haha Yea... I was wondering where you went lol. It's okay. I know that it's a crazy time of year for all of us. I haven't had time to write in a good two weeks, so I have to get myself back into some sort of routine with my writing. Anyway about the affair be patient lol. You know how much of a tease I am and I like to give a lot of build up. Lol I feel like its a lot more satisfying in the long run for both the characters and the reader lol

Haha! LOl Yea it's just a tad bit too soon, but I did start to very subtly introduce a lil sexual tension there if you noticed *winks* In another 2 or 3 chapters I promise I will give you a lil something something, but it might not be exactly what you're thinkning.

And yea computers suck, but from now on I'm going to be really anal and save everything to a flash drive. I've SOOO learned my lesson!

Date: 01/26/08 Title: Chapter 9: Chapter 8 - A Picture's Worth a Thousand Words

I thought for a second you posted the chapter in the author's notes :-P lol

So i'll be honest, at the end of UMS, like right after the fight but before they went to the diner to talk, I thought you kind of left the door open for them to talk, make up and go on all happy and perfect, so that's what I assumed would happen because I guess it's typical. When I realized what the ending was actually going to be, yea, i was like a little surprised and I guess a part of me was like "ugh, why didnt they work it out!!" lol, but I remember thinking that it was really brave of you to leave it so unfinished like that. Obviously part of it was that you knew there would be a sequel, but still, to leave it with an unhappy ending is rare. As much as I like the happy endings, it's good to see a more realistic turn out once in a while. I wrote a story and one of my character's had a falling out with her a parents towards the end, and I left it unresolved. Someone left me a review and basically said what I just told you. It's nice to have the realistic point of view every so often. So, I say write what you want, how you want it. Otherwise why bother?

and with that said, i have to ask.. when's the affair REALLY gonna happen?!?!?! hahah i couldn't resist lmao.  oh and you totally should have made that gift box hit her in the nose and break it for being a bitch. that woulda been funnyyyyyy!! hehe good chapter. can't wait for more!

 P.S. That first line made me crack up. It was just so blunt! I love it!



Author's Response: LOL! I'm sorry about the long ass Authors Note I just needed to get a lot off my chest as you can see. LOL The affair WILL happen I promise. Just need a lil more set up between the two couples. I need to make it believable that they'd cheat on their spouses. I'd say like in another 3 or 4 chapters things start heating up a lil.

DUDE! I SO figured it out like right as nick agreed to clean his office. I don't know why, but it just popped into my head what pictures we were talking about lol.. I guess I just had to get back into UMS mode for it to click lol. Very scandalous chapter lol. Im just gonna guess that while nick was at the studio shayla went through his stuff and found the pictures which would cause some really good drama!! and if not, im sure whatever you have planned will be just as dramatic. either way, i cant wait!!

Seriously did you think I'd just mention something like that for the hell of it? lol It takes time but things always tie themselves up eventually. And in the next chapter I'm even going to give you a little something to tide you over *winks* About Nick and Alyssa being able to discuss their past sex life so openly I do think its awkward, but hopefully it also shows that they're a lot more comfortable around each other, especially Alyssa. I have a few conversations planned between them that they'd probably never have while dating, but now that they're older they find it easier to discuss. Thanks for the review as always!

so i tried really hard to stay up last night so i could read this chapter when it was posted, but it just wasn't happening. starting work at 2am sucks something lmao

anywayyyyyyyyy.. wow.. hmm cheating.. it's an interesting subject. I think cheating is wrong, but I also think staying married when it wasn't meant to be is wrong too. then you add the whole nick carter element and wow.. talk about confusing. All I can say is I know I would have cheated by now lmaoo.. oh well lol. Nick's worth it and I'm shallow I guess lol.

This dinner party seems like it might be interesting, espcially with lots of unused rooms in Nick's big house ~wink wink~ haha can't wait for the next chapter.

ooooOOOOoooOOOOOooo hahah that was an awesome chapter. I actually thought sean and shayla were gonna hook up at first. Then I would have been mad lol. But that was definitely an awesome chapter. And nick is kind of a turd for not noticing/mentioning that alyssa's lipstick was smeared. if he's gonna mess around he should be more observant lol

Maybe I'm the only one (cause i know most people seem to like him) but I really don't and haven't liked sean that much. And I swear I'm not just saying this cause i want nick to get the girl or whatever. Sean just seems like the type of guy that is totally perfect at first, and then when things get comfortable, he becomes a person that's not so desirable. I don't know, he just rubs me the wrong way... but a different way than nick and alyssa were rubbing each other. HOT HOT HOT!!!

You do make me laugh so much and I definitely could use one now. You're not the first to ask if Sean and Shayla were going to hook up, but I really think that would be pushing it. I don't think they have much in common outside of being cheated on and I just think that would be TOO convienent and unrealistic. LOL About Nick not noticing the smeared lipstick! I didn't think of that lol I think that he was just so scared of Shayla finding out and chopping off his balls that he wasn't thinking LOL

A lot of people have mixed feelings about Sean. I thnk you either love him or hate him. Some people think Alyssa is an absolute hussy for even considering cheating on him, but others think he's a control freak, so go figure. I like your interpretation of him. I did kind of want him to appear perfect at first, but once trouble hits he can't cope. I wanted him to sort of be like reminscient of who Alyssa USED to be in UMS if that makes sense.

LMAO Glad that you enjoyed the "rubbing" between Nick and Alyssa. I was quite proud of myself. Definite improvement over UMS, don't you think? And it's okay you don't need to censor yourself lol You're hilarious!

Date: 02/23/08 Title: Chapter 16: Author's Note/ Disclaimer

Okay, I get where you're coming from with how people percieve your writing. I know that it's natural and human to worry abot what other's think of you and/or what you're writing, but the thing about writing, ESPECIALLY fiction, is just that.. it's fiction. It doesn't necessarily portray or represent what you feel. As readers, it's our responsibility to remember that. If what you write offends somebody, that should make you proud because it means you ARE writing something with emotion and significance to other's lives and realistically, there's no reason why a reader should take a fictional story personally. Even if the reader doesn't agree with the substance of the story, it doesn't make it wrong or hipocritical to read an opposing view point. It's actually better to open yourself up to different perceptions, even if you don't believe it. Likewise, as a writer, when you write about a topic that you don't agree with, you usually end up producing your best work. So basically, keep doing what you're doing because no matter how tormenting it may become, the end result with more than likely be a finely written piece of litterature. And I know I'll for sure finish this story, even if it's not exactly what I want. I've read worse lol. So, good luck with your story, keep it up and don't worry about the readers' opinions. That's not what this story is about. And if anyone gives you any grief, let me know, and I'll give them a piece of my mind lmao!

Thank you for the vote of confidence! In the past few months I've learned a lot about myself as a writer and I've learned that I shouldn't care as much what people think. In the end it's MY story and I have control. I agree with the fact that if people are getting so upset at my characters then they must be really deep. I'm really excited about the issues I'm going to be tackling and it just hurts that some people don't see it that way. But you're totally right. It IS just fiction.

LOL And don't worry. If I ever need someone to slap a bitch for me I'll hunt you down LOl j.k

I thought shayla was gonna say she was being transfered out of state which would have made it impossible for nick and alyssa to see each other. Then when Nick went to the condo I thought alyssa might be there lol.. man.. i was waaaaaay off. Nice job! oh and uh.. shayla's a bitch lol

Author's Response: Yay I'm glad you are on Lyss's side. You have to keep in mind though that Angel has never met Alyssa so she's kind of figuring she fits into the category of all of the rest of Nick's wonderful exes. We'll have to see how these thoughts impact them.
