Hello! My name is Danielle. I've been a BSB fan since '97 (Wow, it's been a long time!). I absolutely adore Brian, always have and always will. I used to write Backstreet Boys Fan Fiction back in 1999-2001 and just recently discovered that people are still writing (I thought it had died out...). I decided to try it out again! I forgot how much fun it was. :) |

I'm glad things are getting better for Nick and Ashleigh. It's completely understandable that he's so nervous - I can see all the antics he'll get in as the pregnancy continues on lol Poor guy. And I was just thinking, it would be beyond awesome to have dinner with all the boys, but can you imagine just having dinner with the wives/girlfriends? I think it would be really interesting, seeing a different "womanly" perspective. I'd still feel awkward if I were Ashleigh, but it looks like everyone is accepting her now, so yay! I'm so happy you updated :) I see that Derek is leaving tomorrow? :( Sad day. I hope you're okay!
Author's Response: There will be so much pregnancy drama it isn\'t even funny. Poor Nicky lol. I would love to have dinner with the Backstreet girls, that would be super special awesome! It does seem like they are accepting of Ashleigh, since she obviously seems to have her head screwed on a little tighter than she did during hers and Nick\'s first relationship. I\'m glad you liked it Dani :) And I\'m also glad I updated lol - this chapter was sitting unfinished for far too long. Derek actually left this morning :( I am doing.... okay-ish, but that is a rant not meant for the review response space lol! Holy hell! What was he thinking? I mean, I'm glad he stopped, but he's already done some damage here. Do you think he'll tell Ashleigh about his little make out sesh? Looks like the paparazzi are really on his ass lately, so I wouldn't be surprised to find pictures of Nick and Nadine on the boat kissing, and walking back to the hotel... uh oh! Ashleigh's gonna be pissed. He really does love her though. He just needs to sit down and think everything through. He's being irrational - letting his fears and reservations take over. Joey definitely brings up a very good point about Nick's family/parents though so hopefully Ashleigh takes that all into consideration and will relax a little bit as well. Jeez, these two aren't having any luck are they? Great update girlie! I'm looking forward to what's next ;)
Author's Response: Ashleigh is most definitely going to be uber pissed. Joey does bring up some valid points, however it still doesn\'t really excuse Nick from being the supreme ass that he\'s been lately. Hopefully it\'ll help Ashleigh understand a little.. although I won\'t blame her for flipping out if she finds out about Nick\'s little rendezvous! They\'re not having much luck at all... and part of it is because I was in a really crappy mood yesterday haha. Thanks a bunch of your review Dani, and you won\'t have to wait at all for an update because I\'m just about to post the next chapter =D
Oy vey... at least their fight wasn't that bad. Nick could have groveled a bit more, but I didn't really expect him too.. he's in a weird funk with this entire situation. I'm glad he's finally coming to his senses though. And I would have waited for Nick to call me as well. Screw calling him lol It's good to have the reassurance when they do call cause just like Ashleigh said, it means he thought about it and isn't just calling her to apologize and what not. Great chap! Author's Response: Exactly, Nick phoning her would give her the reassurance that she needed to be able to forgive him. Or at least start to anyway. I can\'t really blame Nick too much for being such as ass, I mean he\'s pretty stressed out with the whole paparazzi deal and then the whole surprise pregnancy thing so I can kind of see his asshattery.. but still, it\'s good that he actually did come to his senses! I don\'t think Nick had much time to grovel lol Ashleigh was tearing into him pretty good haha. Thanks for the review buddy!
This was a really cute chapter! Nick was friggen adorable here, especially when he greeted her at the airport and then the whole restaurant thing (by the by, Chili's is awesome, and the Awesome Blossom? Even awesomer lol!). I can see how things are still a little bit awkward, but they'll get back into the swing of things before they know it, except, that is, until something else happens. I'm wondering what else you have up your sleeve Steph? I'm dying to know! I just got done with my week of tests and hell, so this was a nice little treat, thanks for that :) Great job! Author's Response: Chili\'s is super special awesome! When I go to the States again I am totally going to eat there, though I haven\'t tried an awesome blossom yet. I figured Nick needed to kind of kiss up to Ashleigh a bit, and him greeting her at the airport just sort of popped into my head hehe. It\'s of course going to be a bit awkward for a while, but I\'m sure they\'ll get over it soon enough,and it will be all smiles and happiness from here! What? Oh fine, I do have a couple more torturous things.. :P I\'m glad your week of tests is over, mine is just beginning =\\ Glad you liked it girlie! These two are just too adorable. I've never gushed over a set of characters like this before. You do such a fantastic job with their relationship - they mesh so well, and I grin the entire way through because it's digustingly cute! lol I hope nothing too major goes on while Nick is away. Couldn't Ashleigh go out and visit him if she gets too upset? Seems like it would reasonable. And dude, it has to be trippy to look back at those videos, and even more so to think that 10 years before they were only dreaming of meeting the Backstreet Boys and now here Ashleigh is practically married to one. 'Tis awesome. Loved this chapter!

Author's Response: Aww thanks! I\'m glad I\'m giving them a believable relationship :) I agree, it would be crazy weird to go back and look at the videos. Especially of Black & Blue when hers and Nick\'s relationship was so different lol. I suppose Ashleigh could have gone out there to visit Nick if she got too upset, but I think she seemed to fare alright. Maybe she was just having a mood swing lol. I\'m glad you liked it Dani! Writing is very much my study break hehe. Falling behind is all good, because then I get two lovely reviews at once hehe! *muah!*
Ya know, I read somewhere and have heard before that painting a nursery yellow (and having yellow accessories and what not) correlates to children growing up and having mental problems. I guess they go crazy or something? No idea if that's true, but I found it interesting when I heard about it. Not really sure how you would test that, but whatev.
Ugh, I wanna go baby shopping! It sounds like fun. I'm glad Nick is so happy now. He's seemed to really calm down and be optimistic about this entire thing. How far along is Ashleigh anyway?

(you would think I would have heard something about it, having taken a year of an Early Childhood Development diploma..lol.) Baby shopping does sound like fun, and writing it was super, super fun! Oh dear, I hope the baby is okay... I'm sure it's nothing but you never know. I bet Ashleigh is just nervous since she's due in 2 weeks. Hell, if I were her, I'd think anything out of the ordinary would be cause for a freak out sesh.
Nick is being so incredibly sweet and caring. I love how Ashleigh changed his views on marriage and children... I wonder if he'll get in contact with his parents? That would be an interesting conversation for sure. Awkward for everyone involved however lol

Author's Response: It\'s true, you never know... (I\'ll have to tell you the most hilarious story behind that phrase one day, hehehe) Nick has definitely warmed up to the idea of kids and marriage, which I suppose is quite a testament to their relationship. Nick meeting up with his parents definitely would be an awkward situation... but fun to write! lol. I love my update rolls, I feel as though I\'m accomplishing something haha. I SO did not see this coming. This is so horrible, and sad, and heartbreaking. I could just feel Ashleigh's desperation before the whole surgery when she's begging Nick to say something to make it better. I can't imagine carrying a child for nearly 9 months to have it pass away and then have to have surgery to remove it. So unbelievably sad. Poor Ashleigh... poor Nick!
This is either going to bring these two closer, or it's going to push them apart. I have a feeling that all will not be well. Ashleigh's gonna be a bloody wreck for a long time I think. Jeez, just when Nick was looking forward to a baby, it all turns sour.

Author's Response: Awww sorry for making you depressed Dani! This was definitely the hardest chapter I\'ve ever written.. I had to research still births and stuff beforehand.. it was very upsetting. It almost made me not want to write it, but this was my major plot point from the get-go so I had to stick with it. They just can\'t seem to get a break, can they? Oh. My. God. So utterly heartbreaking. This is so incredibly sad :( I wasn't expecting them to actually see the baby, but I'm glad they did. It made this chapter much more emotional, even though it was already, but jeez... I can't imagine holding my lifeless child... that has to be so hard. And Ashleigh, gah! She's so right about having to go home. They spent so much time shopping for the baby and getting ready for it, and now that the nursery is done, how are they gonna handle all that? What a cruel situation. And having to tell everybody? It's just wave after wave of pain. Wonderful chapter Steph. Update soon!
Author's Response: Thanks Dani! I\'m really glad that you liked it and felt that it was done well because I had a really hard time writing it. I actually had to take a break from this chapter and worked on some homework to distract myself... so that tells you how much difficulty I had writing it lol. Going home for them is definitely going to suck, it\'ll just be one bad thing after another for them. Hopefully they can manage to get through it together. This really is something that\'ll make or break their relationship.. I felt it would be important for them to see the child, it kind of made things final, in a way. But again, it was something that was incredibly difficult to think about and write. I really felt awful for causing so much pain for Nick and Ashleigh, but it must be so. I\'ll try to post an update soon, now that OOProject is DONE DONE DONE!!! Thanks again buddy!! =D
Ugh, fuck the pararazzi. That's horrible! They obviously knew something bad happened, and they STILL decided to butt their heads in their business. So sad.
And Joey is right - at least they're doing it together and not alone. It seems like this experience will bring them closer together (I hope!).
It sucks that Kevin and everyone is finding out what happened with the baby through the tabloids, but I understand why Nick and Ashleigh haven't wanted to tell anyone. I'm wondering what's going to happen between them. Looking forward to what's next! Wonderful chapter darling!

I've said this so many times, but oh my God, Nick is so utterly sweet. The whole milkshake bit and his little rambling story about Brian and Leighanne... ugh, so cute. It's so obvious at how much he loves her. The whole bit with them talking about their past and Ashleigh saying she's still utterly and hopelessly in love with him.. *melts from cuteness*
I'm glad they decided to go to Atlanta! It should be good for them. I'm looking forward to seeing how things between them develop. So far there's no fighting, which is a good sign. Fabulous job my dear! Fabulous!

I don't know how you do it, but I end up grinning and feeling a mad desire to giggle like a maniac when I read scenes with Nick and Ashleigh. They're so perfect for one another and that's why I'm glad things are working out for them. Ashleigh finally wanting to marry Nick? Major bonus! Loved their whole bed scene. I'm wondering what Nick has in mind for a proposal? I already suspect me continuously going "Awwwww" throughout the entire thing! I love your writing Steph... seriously, I adore it and you! You always write the dialogue so flawlessly. Everything always flows beautifully and you make it seem so real, and that's hard to do. Something I've been definitely striving for. Wonderful job my love :)
Author's Response: Awww thanks! Yeah, things are finally starting to come together for the two of them. I think they deserve it, they\'ve dealt with a lot of drama over the past year!! I\'m so glad you like my writing, it makes me so giddy because I admire you so much as a writer :D I\'ve had a lot of practice with dialogue, I used to draw comics a lot when I was in junior high, and comics are mostly people talking so yeah, lots and lots of practice. I\'m glad you think it comes off well :) Something else I sometimes do is write out the scene as a script before i put any of the description in it. Yes.. anyway! Thanks for the review Dani! You totally rock my socks.

She does have a freakishly good memory. But I like the idea behind that wedding date - it's subtle yet very sweet. So uh, I hope you're not planning on wrapping this story up anytime soon cause with the wedding a year from now, I'm guessing a whole lot of shit is going to go down before then right? Riiiiiiight? Though I love when these two are all lovey dovey and happy!
