I am a Certified Public Accountant from Manila, Philippines. I am married and mother of 2 naughty but cute boys. I've been officially a BSB fan the day I saw I want it that way video and was mesmerized by Brian's smile. I am an AJ's girl though.... (See my penname) :) I've wanted to be a writer for the longest time but I started to write fan fiction in 2009. I stumbled upon the world of fan fiction in 2007, and when I learned that there are sites (like AC) who are hosting stories; I tried to write one, and 'Back to your heart' was born. Please bear with me for the grammar and punctuation mistakes. English is not my native (first) language but rest assured that I am trying my best everytime I write. |

It's the winter of 1995 and as Nick and the boys are on tour, he finds himself growing anxious for unexplained reasons. As he slowly discovers the truth behind his fears, he is thrown into a world he had forced himself to forget.
That was freaking scary.... Um, hello Mare. :) I logged in on AC to read Hawk and a handsaw for the summer challenge but I saw the featured story of the month and just remembered it was you. lol
I don't have to tell you that I love the way you write Nick because you already know that. :)

Oh my, Nick is being so paranoid. I wonder what causes all of that. And to think he felt something was wrong and when he goes back to the hotel he found Kevin searching his things. Creepy.

a normal holiday with the carter clan... how I loved it. I'm wondering now if Nick already met his niece in real life. And I was relieved when Cary told Nick the truth, I thought she was gonna hide it from Nick so he won't worry about her. And Nick was right, it'd be cool if there would be kids running around with his DNA... :)
Author's Response: Thanks! I know, I wonder if he has, too. He's been on tour most of the time since she was born, but maybe they got to visit when he was touring Canada or something. I think Cary knew better than to keep it from Nick; she would have been a hypocrite if she'd done that, after how many times she told him he should be honest with the guys about his illness. And yeah, the world needs some little Nick babies! :) Thanks again, Ritz!

oh my goodness... this was a very, very sad chapter. I'm sad that in Asia they will do it in Japan... that just gave us Filipino fans no chance to watch the boys' last concert 'cause it's so damn hard to get a Japan Visa. I am still hoping for the best for Nick... I miss your updates, Julie but at this point I am not sure if I want you to update again. I am still not ready for the story to end. Great job for this chapter, very well written. I could almost see the guys on stage, and it makes me more sad. :(
Author's Response: Aww... I didn't know that about Japan. It just seemed a likely place for them to go, since I know they like Japan and have done so well there. It was hard to pick one place for each continent! I know what you mean... I'm ready for this story to be finished, but I'm not sure I'm ready to actually write the ending, and I'm sure I'll miss it once it's over. I am glad that Nick was able to finish the tour. I love how Nick loves the fans. This is a very emotional chapter and I accept my defeat; there'd be no miracle for Nicky. :(
Author's Response: Who knows how he would react in this situation for real (hopefully we'll never find out), but I'd like to think he would be that dedicated. He seems to love performing, anyway. This is a great chapter, Julie! Very well written... it seems like you are preparing us for what will happen on the next chapter. This is a sad chapter but I managed to read it without tears in my eyes, and kinda prepared me to what I fear most... Nick's death. Amazing job!

I am heartbroken that Nick died and never had a chance to see Theo. But in a way I am happy that Cary had moved on and happy with her family now. I am glad that the Camp Nick wanted was already operational and started helping kids that goes thorugh what Nick experienced.
I love this story because even though it was really sad, it was beautifully written. I loved how the romance of Nick and Cary blossomed. It wasn't like Nick met Cary and fell instantly head over heels with her. Up to now I still feel Nick didn't really loved Cary that much. I know at some point he really did loved her but not the way she loved him.
Despite the sadness and heartbreaking stuff in this story, rest assured this will not be forgotten. I will definitely re-read this after a while and reminisce the love story of Nick and Cary.

Author's Response: Thanks so much for this review, Ritz! I knew Nick was going to die in this one, but I love happy endings, so I wanted to at least make this one bittersweet, instead of only sad. The camp and Cary finding happiness helped do that. I think you're exactly right about Nick and Cary. Theirs wasn't a fairy tale romance. It was complicated the whole way through, and even though Cary loved Nick, she's probably better off married to someone who loves her back the same way. I'm so glad you loved the story, despite how sad it was, and I'm glad to see you say you'd like to reread it someday. Thanks for your feedback along the way; I appreciate it!!!
