You know, I think I'm glad I found your stories. It's always nice to see someone who shares the same beliefs as you do and actually writes about them. :) Ever read any thing by Frank Peretti (my favorite author)? You seem like you'd like his works, seeing how he writes a lot about spiritual warfare. Anyway, back to the story - even though I was interested in the spirituality, you write well as well. :) I know you wrote this last year, but I really hope you finish it. I wanna know how it ends!
Author's Response: Thank you so much for your review. It actually gave me a lot of inspiration to maybe get another chapter out of this. I don't know why it's been on such a stand-still. But I've never read any of Frank Peretti's work, I'm still working through the Left Behind Series. But I'll be sure to check him out. Again, thanks for the review, it means a lot to me.

I remember reading the first part of this story a few years back - I remember because it was so cute how Nick had a cold and couldn't pronounce everything correctly - but then I kind of lost track of it, and didn't find it again until now. I'm so glad I did, though; you blended humor and drama perfectly together. I especially laughed my ass off when Nick commented, "I told him his wife had a nice ass!" and then something about getting strep in the testicles. *lmao* I'll definitely be reading the sequels when I get a chance. :)
Summary: Lauri Fostern is content with her new job. It pays the bills (easily), keeps a roof over her head (a nice one), and put food on the table. The only downside is her boss, Nick Carter. From the first few moments of their meeting, they came to a mutual dislkie for the other.
