Now we're getting to the big drama! I am constantly checking for updates on this story, is that sad? I mean I know what's going to happen kind of, but I am really interested in your interpretation.

I have one little correction in this chapter though. The VDS causes the murmur not the other way around. A murmur is basically an irregular heart beat sometimes caused by defects in the heart. When Brian was a baby they would have heard the murmur then checked and found the hole that was causing it. The VDS was what made him vulnerable to endocarditis. He would have already known about the VDS.

Wow. You did a really good job representing the frustration and fear and just overall emotional turmoil of Brian's situation. I actually felt myself getting emotional myself just thinking about that time and what he must have been thinking and feeling when all this was happening. I realizes your story is a fictionalized representation but it makes me sad thinking that these things were actually happening to him and I don't know how well I would have handled it all. Great job.

It breaks my heart a little every time Brian talks about how he broke down at the last minute before surgery and your version was no different. Good job, way to do Brian's story justice.

This teenage Brian you've written is seriously adorable and I feel like it's probably very accurate too. I'm not always big on these re-discovering teenage love type stories but so far very cute flashback to '92 and I look forward to seeing where you go with it.
