You are being a bit selfish here - telling Lauren to move on and be independent but then suggesting that Nick should move to Florida with you? Perhaps, Howie needs to start practicing what he's preaching. This chapter actually made me a bit angry. Well, I was loving the fact that Howie was being all sweet and offering Lauren the right advice, but then he ruined my mood with his thoughts at the end. Ugh! Who needs to move on now?? FYI, the bit about comparing Nick to a needy cat was spot on!

I am actually really shocked that Howie just let Nick go like that and didn't try to talk him out of it. Cutting everyone off is not what Nick needs to do. When he's alone he's really going to feel everything he's been pushing to the back of his mind and it's going to take over him. That worries me. Hoping I'm wrong to worry.
Author's Response: I think Howie is still walking on eggshells around Nick. Even though he and Nick have made up, he probably doesn't feel like he's in much of a position to make Nick do anything. And of course, he understands what Nick is going through and that Nick needs time to deal with it in his own way. But you're probably right that cutting everyone off is not the best decision for Nick right now. ;) Thanks, Tracy!

But seriously I've been wanting to slap Nick this whole time because he's making dumb decisions lol. Come on Nick get it together. Leaving Lauren is not what he needed to do and I think he will just end up pushing everyone away, because let's face it... He's Nick. This is all going to stress him and make him do something even dumber than what he's been doing already. I can't wait to see what it is LOL.

I think it was around the time I was writing this that Nick got arrested this year, thus confirming to me that, even in real life, Nick still does some dumbass stuff sometimes! Leaving Lauren is totally stupid and ridiculous of him, I think his heart's in the right place. He's trying to protect her. He's just being irrational about it. Thanks for sharing your thoughts! :)

I knew he was going to leave her. Nick's always making dumb choices. He feels he's a burden to her and the anxiety is making him over think everything. This is
bad because he's putting up a wall and it can only hurt himself in the end by isolating himself. He and Howie are such opposites I feel that they need each other to get through the whole thing.
Hopefully things will look up soon.
I bet the paparazzi is going to make that difficult. Lol. Great chapter.

So sorry that I have been not reviewing. I was trying to catch up on reading and then my phone decided to break. I only just got it back yesterday so I'm glad I can finish reading now. I'm still here :)
Anyways, I felt kind of bad for Nick in this chapter because Lauren is making him uncomfortable and I feel that's only adding to his anxiety. I think Nick's anxiety is a big problem and I don't see him staying with her because he's so worried about getting her sick. Or maybe part of me wants him to end up with Howie LOL. Either way great chapter as always.

I think you hit the nail on the head with what you said about Nick's anxiety; it has definitely been a big problem for him. I also like what you said about wanting him to end up with Howie. Okay, well, I was clearly a bit off on the whole Nick wanting to die thing. However, I KNEW that the dumb-dumb had stopped taking his medication. I just want to reach through my screen and smack some sense into him. Also, I'm curious to see how the other guys are reacting to all of this. Any chance we're going to hear from any of them in the near future?? :P
Author's Response: LOL You called it! He makes such bad decisions sometimes. I have been trying to figure out how to bring the other guys back into this; I know they've been out of it for awhile. It doesn't seem like they hang out together much when they're not working in real life, so it's hard when they're not touring or recording in the story to come up with situations where they'd all be together. I guess a phone call would work, if I could think of a conversation that needed to be shown... I don't wanna bring them back just for pointless filler, but I definitely do want to bring them back at some point. I'm just not sure when it will be yet! Thanks for asking and for reviewing!

First, I find it super sweet that Lauren and Howie teamed up to go find Nick. Second, I actually snorted at Howie's jealousy. Called it! He's TOTALLY hoping that he and Nick will still, somehow become a "thing". Third, my guess is that Nick has not been taking his required medication, self-medicating with alcohol to numb the pain (physical and emotional) and was in his own lame-ass way trying to kill himself. Great chapter!
Author's Response: I loved Lauren and Howie teaming up too. And you totally did call it! I think you're on to something with Nick's state of mind, too, even if he wasn't intentionally trying to hurt himself. Breaking off his engagement and being alone have affected him, whether he realizes it or not. Thanks for the review!

These cliffhangers are literally killing me! LOL but hey thats what makes an amazing story. I am glad Howie and Lauren checked on Nick, he would of well been dead if they hadn't..just like what happened to Howie, I am quite convinced Nick just wants to give up( I truly do not blame him though) I hope he is ok and thanks again for all these wonderful updates!!!

I don't blame Nick for being depressed either; he's had a lot thrown at him in the last few months that he's had to deal with. Hmmmm I have no clue where you are going to take this and I LOVE it! Honestly, this could all go in so many different directions and I really like the fact that you haven't given any kind of a hint. That being said, I still think coming clean is going to blow up in Howie's face. The media will have a field day with his admission, but it won't make anyone forget about Nick. It will probably actually do the exact opposite; the media will take Howie's truth and connect it with the rumours about Nick and inadvertently reveal the actual truth - that they are both infected and that Howie was the one who gave it to Nick.

I can't say too much, but you're right that it could go in many different directions, and the things you brought up are definite possibilities! Just seeing what Charlie Sheen went through not too long ago confirmed what a field day the media would have if this were real, and the less the guys say, the more the media will speculate.

Ahhhhhh I had a feeling that it was going to be a picture of Nick and Howie in some form!! That headline is TOTALLY believable - very TMZesq. While I am proud of Howie for deciding to let the world in on his secret, I can't help but feel that he might be doing it for the wrong reasons. I really think that a small part of him thinks (and hopes) that he will be able to win Nick over by being brave; that the two of them will end up together. If that's the case, then going public is going to blow up in Howie's face faster than the media can print the word 'scandal'! Just so you know, I'm really enjoying having something to read again!! :)

Just spent the last couple of hours catching up and loved having loads to read.
I knew someone would spot them someday, and word would get out, but what a shame it had to happen when he's still recovering and Leigh is in the process of divorcing him. Poor Howie, nothing seems to go his way :(
And for Nick and Lauren too. I know he's trying to protect her, but I hope they sort themselves out.

I like her in real life, but I think this is the first time I've ever included her this much in a story, and I'm finding she makes a great character too.
