Awwwwwwwwwwwww.... Mel, I swear, this chapter almost got tears in my eyes ! Lol.
Honestly, it was a great chapter and I can't wait to read more. Even though I think Nick SHOULD sue is Publicist for the breach of contract - shouldn't be talked about in the media, because then she would lose all credibility for ALL her client, not only Shayla - I can kinda see why he's not doing it.

Author's Response: I'm glad that you enjoyed it Iz! Yea if he were to sue Diane it would just add more fuel to the fire and make it an even bigger mess, so I think that he is picking and choosing his battles. But under different circumstances definitely!

Woo hoo an update!
I absolutely love this story that you have going. I am so glad that you were finally able to update.
To see Diane leaving Nick was shocking, I didn't expect that one. Although with Shayla anything can happen. I like how you have this story going, and I hope that everything does work out in the end for Nick & Alyssa.
I can't wait to read the next couple of chapters and how everything plays out. I'm really curios to see what Shayla has to say and do once the media finds out.
I thought it was a nice touch to bring Izzy in as their publicist. I have a feeling that Izzy is going to make the whole scandal and big mess for Shayla, and knowing the Izzy's character she is going to make it funny too!
I know its not really important but I hope to see Nick & Alyssa playing with Grace. It would be a nice touch since the loss of their baby. To see Nick's reaction to Alyssa with a child and vice a versa. Great update and I can't wait for more, hopefully you can get chapters out quicker.
Author's Response: Thanks for the feedback! I am glad that you are still enjoying the story even though I haven't been great at updating it. We'll finally start to see things playing out in the media beginning in next chapter and it will get ugly. Izzy definitely has her work cut out for her, but she'll be able to handle it. As far as wanting to see more Alyssa/Nick/ Grace scenes I will see what I can do. It would be a nice touch. Thanks for the idea!

Mel, I am glad you decided to sit down and pound a chapter out for us. I still love Nick as much as always, and I am starting to get my soft spot back for Lyss too. I love how she so blatently dissed Nicks publisist. I can't wait for the ball to really start rolling and for the drama and angst that you write so well to start happening......
Hope things get a little easier on you....mainly for selfish reasons, ie: you wiriting more, but I understand you have been under a lot of stress.

Great update!!! I have been checking back often and I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the update. We all knew Shayla was gonna come back with vengence! haha!! I can't wait for the next chapter. Shayla REALLY is one of those famewhores huh? I was appalled but not really surprise that she would take it out on facebook like that... It was really to be expected and I don't know WHY Nick didn't monitor those more closely, OR talk to his PR and Lawyer about that possibility sooner.. .Guess Nick will always be Nick right ? Love the guy, but he's definitely not always thinking about what's to come !
Anyways, keep them coming - hopefully your personnal life will get more under control has it goes !

I so expected Shayla to do something like this, so it isn't that big of a surprise. However, her Blog.....YUCK!, she seems so freaking fake even in a blog. I can only imagine how manipulative she will be in like an interview!
I am with Lyss in this one. I think it would seem pretty obvious that she is the 'other woman'. I mean they were seen together multiple times during her pregancy, they were even in jewlery stores shopping for Shalya.....so I would think of her first if I were a pap....then again....I would think of her first, because I know it is her.....
I think Nick is hoping for the best outcome, but I don't see you making it that easy on them!

And I am so excited to hear from you! You've been pretty MIA there yourself stranger LOL. I agree her blog was laying it on pretty thick, but maybe even more so cuz we know the REAL truth. She's definitely going to twist the situation to her advantage and it'll be a back and forth battle in that respect.
As for Lyss being the paparazzi's first choice for this mystery woman I agree that the tabloid pictures alone from about a year ago might make her an obvious target, but she might be harder for them to get to in the sense that they don't know much about her. Next chapter you'll hear a little more from Nick's exes...

First off, WELCOME BACK!
I was really excited to see that this story had an update. This was a good chapter not very informative but sometimes you have to have chapters like this just to get to the good parts. I can't wait to see what does happen when they do get home and how they handle everything.
It must be hard having to write a "happy" nick & alyssa but I will tell you it is a nice change since all the hell they have already been through. I liked the part where he was pouting at her because all he wanted was to have her attention, that was a cute little detail.
I hope that everything works out and calms down for you sometime soon. Oh and good luck with getting more inspiration for writing this story. Try and update when you can!

Thanks! I know this chapter wasn't the most exciting, but the main purpose of it was to set the drama in motion by Shayla posting her blog. Msybe that's why it was harder to write for me. I don't exactly love "filler" chapters. The next few chapters we'll start getting into the media backlash as more and more details come out.
It is weird writing Nick and Alyssa happy, but you are right. They could only deal with so much BS before they finally got together. I'm glad that you liked the boat scene. I was going for cute, but there's a thin line between cute and makes you want to vomit LOL.

Haha Thanks Monica. I like happy Nick and Alyssa too just it's a little weird to write after everything they've been through. I'm always better at the build up of two characters getting together and then once they are together it's like now what? But there is plenty outside drama to keep myself entertained. I just don't want them coming across as the type of couple who makes you want to vomit lol.
Very interesting prediction about Sean. Honestly I hadn't planned on giving him a very big part at all in this. I figured after the divorce he would be so pissed at Alyssa he'd be done with her. He's not conniving like Shayla, but then again he is a lil unstable from Iraq... But you never know. I'm sure Sean would have some interesting stories to tell.
